PACAYA SAMIRIA NATIONAL RESERVE IQUITOS 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS CONDOR TRAVEL S.A. From there we will move to the Manatee Rescue Center, a refuge where volunteers and biologists will teach us about the work they do to preserve this endangered species.

From Nauta, we will board boats and sail towards the junction of the Ucayali and Marañon Rivers, to observe the origin of the Amazon River. Once we arrive at the Lodge, we will receive a warm welcome with a seasonal fruit drink, and a presentation in the Kukama Kukamiria language. You will invited to go to their rooms to leave luggage and then have lunch. In afternoon we will go awalk where we will identify flora and fauna in the forest surrounding the lodge.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner.

Day 2: Iquitos After Breakfast we will go to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, during the excursion we will search for pink and gray freshwater dolphins near the gorge of the same name. We will also immersed in the wide variety of flora and fauna the reserve offers. The first thing that will call your attention is how the river banks. Visitors will have the sensation of sailing between endless mirros, which is why Pacaya Samiria is also Known as “the forest of mirrors.”

We will also go for a walk through the flooded forests, where we will try to see some primates and sloths. During the journey we can also observe a variety of birds and the traditional Amazonian subsistence fishing practice.

Next, we will return to the Lodge to visit the women’s craft center (seasonal) of the community, known for their work with natural Chambira fiber and wingoorpumpkincarving, you will have down time, followed by dinner.

After dinner a guide will invite us to move to a different space to share myths and legends of the Peruvian Amazon.

Overnight - Lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 3: Iquitos After breakfast we will go hiking through the jungle where we can see a variety of timber-yielding trees and birds native to this forest. We will also try to see some primates and mammals as we journey toward a rustic camp to rest in hammocks. We will return to the Lodge around noon to rest and get ready to come back to Iquitos.

Note: This program can vary due to weather conditions and Low/ High- water season. The guides may do some changes in the program in order to get the most of the excursion.

Carbon bonds: Passengers have the chance to offset their carbon footprint, equivalent to 1 ton. This way they will be contributing to conservation projects in the Peruvian Amazon.

Including  All services, lodging, food, and beverages mentioned in the trip description, plus taxes, tourist tickets, and entrance fees.  All excursions come with a guide in the English or Spanish language.  Our prices include entrance fees and tourist ticket costs to determined historical, natural, or religious landmarks that are managed by the local authorities in many cases. Costs may increase without prior warning. Condor Travel will notify you of these immediately and adjust the prices accordingly.

General Conditions  A quote for a program or service does not represent a valid reservation. You need to expressly request a reservation.  All quotes are subject to availability and to price adjustments due to availability. The rates will again be confirmed at the time the reservation is booked.  Rates for VAT-exempt lodgings (The VAT in Peru is 18% and represented on recepits as IGV).

For the exemption to be effective, passengers must check-in at the hotel with their original passport as well as their Andean Immigration Card, both duly stamped by the Peruvian Immigration Department. National ID cards are only valid for passengers coming from MERCOSUR countries and Affiliated States.  You must present your passport when boarding all flights. National ID cards are only valid for passengers coming from MERCOSUR countries.  We need the complete flight itinerary and its corresponding record locator (PNR). Without this information, we cannot solve any problem that might occur because of airline-generated flight changes.  Prices are valid if all services are booked through Condor Travel. If any service (hotel, train, etc.) is not booked through us, we will apply a surcharge or fee and notify you of it at the proper time.  The prices we quote for your company are strictly confidential and cannot be used or sent to any of our potentially competing operators.

Reservation Policy  Due to our suppliers’ reservation policies, we require:  Individuals: Complete passenger information 30 days before service begins.  Groups: Preliminary passenger list 60 days before group arrival.

Payment Policy  Full payment for services must be made before passenger arrival, following these terms and conditions: o Individuals: 30 days prior to start of services. o Groups: 60 days prior to start of services (50% of total amount), 30 days prior (20% of total amount), and 7 days prior (remaining 30% of total amount).  

It may be necessary to put down a deposit or to make an advance payment for non-conventional programs, special events, or if it is the supplier’s policy. Condor Travel will inform you immediately of such a circumstance.

A 3.8% surcharge for financial processing costs will be applied to credit card payments.

Cancellations  Individuals: Depending on our suppliers’ policies, we can charge if you cancel less than 45 days from passenger arrival.  Groups: If you cancel up to 60 days before group arrival, then no charges are applied. Between 59 and 30 days before group arrival, we will charge 30% for cancellation costs. Between 29 and 15 days prior to group arrival, we will charge 50% for cancellation costs. If you cancel less than 15 days prior to group arrival, then we will charge 100% for cancellation costs.  No Show: If you cancel or are a no show, we will charge the 18% VAT for corresponding service fees.

Condor Travel Liability  Condor Travel’s liability for services not rendered and nonconformity with services purchased through us is limited. Condor Travel shall not be held liable for injuries, losses, accidents, delays, or any other irregularity that may take place due to omission or negligence on the part of the companies or individuals that provide transportation (or drive the vehicles), lodgings, or other tour-related services or for natural phenomena, disease, war, quarantines, strikes, interventions by police or customs / health authorities, or any other factor outside its control.  Condor Travel reserves the right to change any tour or excursion when it deems it necessary for providing better service to its customers.  Condor Travel shall not be held liable for required visas or vaccinations.

Condor Assistance Condor Assistance is our free emergency assistance program, with coverage throughout the entire country. All passengers will receive a program card and phone number, and with just one call they have access to:  Up to two doctor’s visits at the hotel.  Medical expenses coverage of up to 1000.00 USD.  Medical transport within Peru of up to 700.00 USD.  Medication up to 300.00 USD.  Baggage tracking assistance.  Assistance in the event of travel document loss.
