Located in the heart of the department of Cusco, the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu is known for its cultural and natural wealth. The Machu Picchu reserve is recognized worldwide as a cultural and natural heritage. It has a rich biodiversity due to a wide altitude range which provides a range of micro climates. The many micro climates hold many species and subspecies. For example, there are over 350 species of orchids, over 700 species of butterflies, and over 400 species of birds. Among the many species are the famous Peruvian national bird the Cock of the Rock (el Gallito de las Rocas), the majestic Condor and the spectacled bear. Our program includes the city tour in Cusco; was the capital of the historic Inca Empire is recognized worldwide as a cultural heritage, we enjoy a sightseeing tour starting in the center of the Inca Empire, the Koricancha temple of the Sun. Then the Cathedral built on the ruins of the Inca Palace. Next, we will visit the archaeological remains around the city, the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo the giant rock, artfully carved in a strange way, the ancient side of PucaPucara and finally the temple of the water Tambomachay. Also we enjoy the tour around the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu one of the seven world wonders. ITINERARY: Day 1: Cusco, City Tour.- 14.00 hrs. Pick up from the airport. Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour, where we see different places in and around the city. Cusco is truly a fascinating place to visit; providing a blend of the two cultures (Inca and Spanish) the city has a look and feel about it that is completely different to the rest of Peru. Inca empire, at Koricancha or Temple of the Sun. Then the tour continues to the Cathedral located at Plaza de Armas. The cathedral has been built on what was once an Inca palace. Next we will visit different archaeological sites around the city: Sacsayhuaman, Kenko Giant Rock, the military fortress Puca Pucara and finally the watertemple Tambomachay. Night Hotel Cusco. Meals: None. Day 2: Cusco, Aguas Calientes.- 06.30 hrs. - MachuPicchu In the morning we get prepared to visit one of the miracles and wonders of the world, the lost city of the Incas, "Machu Picchu". We will take the bus from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. Here we continue our trip by train to Machu Picchu archaeological park. In the mids of tropical vegetation, we will have the opportunity to discover this amazing city that was built by the Incas and discovered in 1911 by American archaeologist Hiram Bingham. We are accompanied by a professional English speaking guide for 2 hours. At the end of the morning, we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there back by bus to Cusco. Night Hotel Cusco. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch. Day 3: Cusco - Lima Transfer from the hotel to the airport. End of our services. BOOKING CONDITIONS: It is important that travelers have a Travel assurance. Valid to travel from April 1st to December 25th, except on special occasions, long weekends or holidays. Passengers must carry valid foreign passports, Andean Immigration Card (TAM) and not staying more than 60 days in the country for the implementation of the tax exoneration (Peruvian tax) in the hosting service otherwise must pay the corresponding difference VAT (18%) directly to the hotel. Hand baggage policy PeruRail (trains to Machu Picchu): All baggage must be carried in compartments inhabited for that purpose. It is essential not to exceed the measures: one bag or backpack with a maximum of 5kg, i/o 157cm linear (height + length + width). Baggage that does not comply with these measures will not be shipped, The only people allowed to carry large bags are passengers who walk the Inca Trail.
