WELCOME TO THE ORANGE & DISTRICT WINE & FOOD GUIDE The vineyards and orchards of the slopes of Mt Canobolas and the surrounding area of Orange produce some of the finest cool climate wines and orchard fruit – apples, cherries and stonefruit in Australia.

The district is also a major producer of a range of quality fruit and vegetables, meats raised on the sweet upland pastures as well as olive oil, olives, verjus, nuts, jams, preserves and many more value added products.

The wines of Orange and District have a unique style as a result of the local climate, soils and topography and are available for tasting at over 30 cellar doors in the district, retail outlets and on-line.

This together with a spectacular rural landscape and a vibrant restaurant and cafe scene, make Orange an exciting destination for wine and food tourism.

ORANGE VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRE The Orange Visitor Information Centre is open 9am to 5pm everyday of the year (except Christmas Day). In close proximity to the Regional Art Gallery and Library, it offers a 24 hour visitor information kiosk, free local and regional maps and brochures on accommodation, attractions, events, restaurants, wineries and other places of interest within the Central West Region.
