FOOD & AGRICULTURE North Yorkshire is home to food and drink offerings that are hand-crafted and have a strong Yorkshire identity. Wensleydale Cheese, Yorkshire Tea (Bettys & Taylors), Heck Sausages and Harrogate Spring Water are all based in the area. MARITIME HERITAGE AND INNOVATION North Yorkshire is blessed with miles of beautiful coastline which is home to not only a rich maritime heritage but organisations that are making waves in future innovation. McCains, Anglo American, Alexander Dennis, offshore wind, and the fishing industry all call the Yorkshire Coast home. Rail Rail London Kings Cross is under two hours away from York, making North Yorkshire easily accessible from the capital. There are train stations served by CrossCountry trains in York, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Northallerton, Malton, Selby, Thirsk, Settle, Skipton, Whitby and Scarborough, with the East Coast Mainline (LNER), Grand Central, TransPennine, Northern Rail and Hull Trains routes some of the most direct.
