Summer Festival - £10,000 + VAT Featuring Whitley Bay Kite Festival and Wallsend Festival North Tyneside’s Summer Festival packages dozens of events together in one over-arching celebration. There are events on our beaches and in our parks, libraries, public spaces and a range of venues across the Borough. Benefits include:

Opening season events at Spanish City Plaza £20,000 + VAT The iconic Spanish City in Whitley Bay re-opens this summer and the Council and its partners will be supporting the launch with a range of outdoor activities on the Spanish City Plaza. Every weekend throughout the school summer holidays, international street entertainers will perform for the thousands of visitors expected to explore the new attraction. Benefits include:

Christmas Celebration £20,000 +  VAT The sponsorship of the Borough’s Christmas lights includes the North Tyneside Christmas lights switch-on event which takes places in one of our town centres each year. Local residents and visitors gather to watch school choirs and community groups perform Christmas carols, followed by the annual switch on of the winning light design chosen from hundreds of entries from local school children.

Mouth of the Tyne Festival

Pageant - £5,000 + VAT The Mouth of the Tyne Festival is a celebration of live music, world-class street entertainment, activities for children and a colourful pageant. It attracts around 100,000 people. With a different theme each year, the pageant involves hundreds of local schoolchildren and community groups engaging in music and dance. Visitors can expect lots of music, colour and props as the parade makes its way through Tynemouth on the Saturday morning before the popular street entertainment begins.

An exciting programme of dance, live music, entertainment and an interactive under-fives area, in the beautifully restored station. ‘Platform’ will run throughout the weekend alongside the popular weekend markets.
