UniSC Moreton Bay now offers over 80 degrees to more than 4,000 students. By 2035, this is anticipated to grow to around 10,000 students, similar in size to UniSC’s Sunshine Coast campus.
“National and international companies are moving to the area telling us they need graduates in technology, engineering, science, education, aged care and social assistance as soon as possible, so we are helping students gain employment even before they complete their studies.”
This year, UniSC was ranked the best public university in Queensland for the overall quality of experience for undergraduate students; it was also named among the world’s top two percent of universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
The Mill at Moreton Bay is set to become an innovation hub twice the size of Brisbane’s CBD.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said investment opportunities in the precinct span education, health, tourism, entertainment and sport, as well as hightech advanced manufacturing, education and smart city infrastructure.
“The Mill at Moreton Bay is projected to boost the economy by $950 million annually and generate 8,600 jobs,” Mayor Flannery said.
