Vietjet Redcliffe Kitefest is proud to host an exceptional suite of local, interstate and international kite flyers who will showcase their artistry and expertise at the 2026 festival. These talented individuals bring decades of combined experience, innovative designs, and captivating displays that promise to create an unforgettable spectacle in the skies above Redcliffe!

*Our kites are the stars of the show, but sometimes even stars need to have a rest! Please note that kite displays are completely subject to favourable wind and safety conditions, so sometimes will need to break until conditions improve, meaning we cannot guarantee kite displays at all running times of the Festival.

KITES QUEENSLAND

Kites Queensland serves as the primary kite club supporting Redcliffe Kitefest, representing a dedicated network of landbased kite enthusiasts who celebrate every aspect of the sport. From delicate small kites to impressive giant displays, power kites to precision stunt flying, box kites to traditional fighter kites, KQ members embrace the full spectrum of kiting disciplines and wind-powered artistry. The club's commitment extends far beyond Queensland borders, with members regularly participating in major festivals across Australia including the Port Douglas, Tara, Brisbane, Emu Park, Adelaide International, and Darwin Kite Festivals, while some have proudly represented Australia on international stages worldwide. Kites Queensland actively promotes the kiting community, welcoming fellow enthusiasts and newcomers alike at their regular gatherings held at Pelican Park on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.

Peter hails from the Goulburn Valley in regional Victoria and has been making kites since he was a little kid. He has a passion for making and flying cellular kites and thermal rollers. Aneta and her husband Peter have enjoyed attending kite events in Australia and New Zealand, where they love flying their collection of small to mid-sized show kites. Aneta is also very passionate about her assortment of ground display items.

JUSTINE RITCHIE Queensland

Justine has been flying kites for 15 years. Her kite flying journey began with helping friends fly their own kites, and then her collection started! Her favourite part about kite flying is the look on peoples faces when they look up and see the spectacular creations soaring above. Want to meet Justine?
