CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF JETTY2JETTY

It is my pleasure to welcome you to this special milestone event as we celebrate four decades of Jetty 2 Jetty.

Over the past 40 years, Jetty 2 Jetty has grown from a local running event into one of Queensland's most iconic community races. While the event continues to attract runners from across Australia and beyond, its heart has always remained the same - bringing people together through participation, connection and a shared love of running.

Beyond the race itself, Jetty 2 Jetty is an opportunity to showcase Moreton Bay as a destination. From our breathtaking coastline and natural beauty to our local businesses and welcoming communities, we are proud to share everything that

makes this city such a wonderful place to live, visit and explore. There is a reason we call this Queensland's Most Scenic Marathon.

Whether you're tackling your first event, chasing a personal best, volunteering your time, or cheering on family and friends, thank you for being part of this historic celebration.

Your participation helps create the atmosphere and community spirit that has defined Jetty 2 Jetty for the last 40 years.

On behalf of everyone at Tourism and Events Moreton Bay, we wish you every success on race day and hope you enjoy a memorable Jetty 2 Jetty weekend.

See you at the start line.

This event would not be possible, without the support, expertise and founders of the race, The Moreton Bay Road Runners. The Moreton Bay Road Runners will be onsite during bib pick up and on race day, and are always welcoming new members, regardless of your fitness levels! They actively deliver run programs and training encouraging people of all abilities to participate in their club activities. Visit their website or facebook for more information: www.mbrr.com.au

While you’re here, I encourage you to explore all that the Brisbane Region has to offer -whether it’s its scenic beauty, local flavours, or the warm hospitality that makes this part of Queensland so special.

A big congratulations to the organisers and everyone who worked hard to bring this wonderful event to life. Thank you for being part of the thriving Queensland Destination Events Program.

Message from Mayor Peter Flannery, City of Moreton Bay

To the seasoned marathoners, the early morning joggers, the weekend walkers, and those simply here to enjoy the view, welcome to City of Moreton Bay and the 2026 Jetty2Jetty!

This year marks a proud milestone as we celebrate 40 years of Queensland’s longest-running and most scenic running events. What began as a small local initiative on the Redcliffe Peninsula has grown into a cherished tradition, attracting thousands of participants and visitors from across Australia and around the world.

In 2026, Jetty2Jetty reaches another major milestone with the introduction of a full marathon for the very first time. This exciting addition expands the challenge and creates new opportunities for participants to experience our spectacular coastline in a truly memorable way. Alongside the half marathon, 10km, 5km, 3km, and wheelchair events, the marathon

further enhances Jetty2Jetty’s reputation as one of the most inclusive and diverse running events in Queensland.

City of Moreton Bay is proud to host an event that reflects the very best of our active, welcoming, and vibrant community. The spirit of accessibility, participation, and connection that defines Jetty2Jetty mirrors our values and is a key reason why more than 4.6 million visitors choose to explore our city each year.

Whether you're striving for a personal best, enjoying a day out with family and friends, or simply soaking in the bayside atmosphere, I encourage you to take time to experience all that our city has to offer. From stunning coastal precincts to hinterland escapes and thriving local centres, City of Moreton Bay is a place to stay, play, and explore.

Thank you for being part of this special 40-year celebration. I wish you every success on the course.
