01. Introduction

Commercial Bars

Through this Scheme, the Malta Tourism Authority shall incentivise digital marketing efforts by Holiday Furnished Premises, Guesthouses, Hostels, Tourist Villages and 2 star Hotels to attract tourism to the Maltese Islands.

MTA will be assisting as follows: • Category A - €1,000 for Guesthouses & Tourist Villages.

• Category B - €500 for 2* Hotels.

• Category C - €250 for Licensed Holiday Furnished Premises & Hostels.

1.1. Registration duration for the Scheme The Scheme will be open for registrations between 16th April 2021 till 16th May 2021.

1.2. Designated Authority This Scheme is administered by the Malta Tourism Authority.

1.3. Budget This Scheme has a total allocated budget of €1,500,000.

02. Terms & Conditions 2.1. All applicants need to be fully licensed with the Malta Tourism Authority.

2.2. All licenses with MTA need to in order and paid up.

2.3. Submissions shall need to include proof of activity and receipt of spend for the international digital marketing done targeting tourism travel to the Maltese Islands between June 2021 and December 2021.

2.4. The above cheme is independent from any other support provided by the Malta Tourism Authority throughout the year 2021.

2.5. This incentive Scheme, will be managed by the Malta Tourism Authority Head Office directly.

03. Application Process Step 1- Registration of Interest Holiday Furnished Premises, Guesthouses, Hostels, Tourist villages and 2 star Hotels need to apply by submitting an application form online on bit.ly/hscheme or by email on hscheme@visitmalta.com.

Step 2- Evaluation MTA will evaluate the applications submitted.

Step 3 - Inform MTA will inform the respective Holiday Furnished Premises, Guesthouses, Hostels, Tourist Villages and 2 star Hotels Accommodation once application has been approved or declined.

Step 4 - Claim The respective Holiday Furnished Premises, Guesthouses, Hostels, Tourist Villages and 2 star Hotels accommodation shall need to present proof of activity and receipt of spend for the international digital marketing done.

Step 5 - Settlement of Payment The submissions will be checked to ensure that the international digital marketing has been done.

Payment will follow once submission meets requirments.
