COMMUNITY IMPACT
The Village of Fredericktown saw a 5.5% increase in overall visitation in 2025. With 2024 construction and streetscape revitalization complete, this was a great time for visitors and community members to enjoy a new look for Main Street. The most active entry point into the Village, continues to be traffic coming from the South on SR13, but using Columbus Road vs. SR 95.
VISITOR OVERVIEW
Conveniently located at the junction of State Routes 13 and 95, the Village of Fredericktown takes pride in its agricultural pursuits, family legacies and innovative manufacturing. The birthplace of the FFA Jacket and nationallyrecognized Kokosing Construction; Kokosing is one of the largest family-owned construction companies in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. This small town brings in big crowds to enjoy a robust recreational district. With nearly 130 acres of public parks, the Ackerman Nature Preserve, the Owl Creek Trail (1.4 miles), Kokosing Park Splash Pad, and hiking trails through 57 acres of woods, Fredericktown has ample activities for the entire family. Anglers be prepared to cast a line and explore Knox Lake for fishing fun. Knox Lake is historically one of the "best largemouth bass fisheries in the state" according to Ohio Department of Natural Resources(ODNR). Staying for a longer visit? Add the annual Spring Fling (April), Fredericktown Tomato Show (September), or Christmas Walk (December) to your family-friendly itinerary.

Fredericktown Community Development Foundation, and partner organizations, leverage local amenities and events to gather the community and visitors. Using these insights we hope to offer insight on future event planning, marketing strategies and promotional initiatives. The figures below are a capture of the overall visitors in the Main Street corridor on the day of the event(s).
EVENTS OVERVIEW
Fredericktown Community Development Foundation, local merchants and partner organizations, collaborate throughout the year to bring signature events to Main Street. Events like Spring Fling, Farmers Market (weekly), Tomato Show and seasonal events bring the local merchants together to promote, advertise and engage their business/offering with the community and visitors.
Providing live entertainment, giveaways and activities for the whole family, these events show how collaboration is vital to spotlight a community; its businesses, ammenities and offerings to locals and visitors. Over the last few years the Village of Fredericktown has led a strategic effort to revitalize Main Street with streetscape, shared use spaces, signage and street amenity upgrades. With these upgrades complete, FCDF and local partners can continue to build on the momentum to welcoming community and visitors back to Main Street for a newly enhanced experience.
