l a c o L A e k i L t Ea ! Foodie One of the most common questions we hear is, “Where’s the best place to eat in Hutchinson?” To answer that, we turned to the real experts—a team of local foodies who shared their favorite spots and hidden gems.
Melissa "I love Traveling Bowl because it’s the perfect blend of a delicious, home-cooked meal with the convenience of a drive-through. Their weekly rotating options, consistent staples, and truly unbeatable customer service make it a go-to every time!"
Pat Skaets has been our go to date night restaurant for years. We sometimes go after church on Sunday's, but we always go on Wednesday's after work. Seeing all those friendly faces, the fresh coffee, and of course a special omelet make it the best restaurant in Hutch!

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In Hutch, we take that seriously. Kick off your morning with a hearty plate at Skaets Steak Shop, a local favorite serving breakfast all day, or savor home style cooking at Dutch Kitchen, known for its Amish-inspired comfort food. Looking for something unique? Firehouse Cafe, located inside an old fire station, serves up breakfast dishes perfect for a relaxed start. But come hungry, the portions are huge! If coffee and pastries are more your style, Roots Coffee Shop in Yoder is worth the short drive for its artisan brews and fresh-baked treats. Back in Hutch, Metropolitan Coffee offers exceptional drinks with a creative vibe, while Scuttlebutts Coffee serves up pastries—including gluten-free options—in a welcoming space. For quick convenience, Scooter’s Coffee delivers great drinks and grab-and-go ease.

Do you travel for the food? We see you. Our restaurants offer cuisines from around the world. Bhappy Pho & Boba’s Vietnamese dishes and boba tea are great options for vegetarians and foodies alike. The Thai Hutch Bistro is a great spot for fresh and delicious meals with an option to order ahead online for busy schedules. Koi Ramen has everything from sushi to ramen and poke bowls. The Traveling Bowl is a local favorite food truck turned restaurant. They stay close to their roots with a Special Menu with new options every week to keep diners surprised and delighted.

Looking for a special treat or celebrating an occasion? Make memories with a steak dinner and a view at Airport Steakhouse located inside the local airport since 1951. Watch a variety of aircraft come and go from the dining room with front row seats to the runway. Roma’s Italian Restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine, inspired by the owner and chef’s roots in Albania and Sicily. Find your next favorite beer and have lunch or dinner at Salt City Brewery. Their large rotating menu of seasonal and smallbatch beer will offer a new experience with each visit.
Megan It’s hard to pick just one favorite spot in Hutch—there are so many great choices. I’m especially drawn to locally owned restaurants, and Bogey’s and Anchor Grill are two that never disappoint. Anchor Grill consistently delivers delicious, fresh food and you can't beat the huge shake selection at Bogeys!

Nathan “My favorite restaurant in Hutch is Old Chicago. I love the welcoming atmosphere and the variety on the menu—it’s the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing pizza with friends or enjoying a relaxed dinner. It’s always my go-to place when I want great food and a fun vibe.”
Lacey We love going to Sandhills Brewery for date night! The atmosphere feels like what I imagine Cheers was like: welcoming, familiar, and fun. Pippin always has something new on tap, and the pizza and pretzels are our go-to favorites!
