SPECIAL EVENTS The Bunny Brunch

Saturday, April 5

10-11:30 a.m., all ages $10 per family Farragut Community Center

Join us for brunch with the Easter Bunny! We will have light breakfast food, crafts and a photo op with the bunny available.

Puzzle Palooza

Wednesday, April 9 6-8 p.m., all ages $15 per team Farragut Community Center

Test your puzzle skills during Puzzle Palooza! Teams will race against each other to see who can finish a 300-piece puzzle first. Up to four participants will be allowed per team. Only one member of each team needs to register. Register here.

Earth Week Adventure Challenge

Saturday, April 19 - Sunday, April 27

Are you ready to find adventure in your own backyard? The adventure list will be released on April 19 on Farragut Parks & Rec social media and at townoffarragut.org/townevents. Complete at least 8 tasks to earn a prize!

Bob Watt Youth Fishing Rodeo

ADULTS & FAMILY Sourdough for Beginners Farragut Community Center April 10, May 8, June 12; 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Ages 12 and up, $15 per class.

Sourdough basics for beginners: Review of tools, terminology, and techniques for baking your own bread at home! All materials will be provided.

We will not be baking bread in class, but participants will receive their own sourdough starter to take home!

Financial Education Farragut Community Center Thursdays, 2-3 p.m. on select dates Ages 21 and up, free Join Brandon Newman of EdwardJones to learn all about your finances! A schedule of topics can be found here.

Mahjong and Gaming Club Every other Tuesday, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Ages 9 and up, free Join us to learn new games! There will be special classes to learn mahjong, tong-its, chess, checkers and other organized board games.

Bike Week Celebrate National Bike Week with Farragut Parks & Rec by participating in the programs below: Learn to Ride Workshop Mayor Bob Leonard Park Monday, May 12, 4:30-6 p.m.

Ages 5-8, $5 per child If your child needs a little help getting their training wheels off, this is the program for them! Spots are limited; registration is required. No bikes will be provided. Helmets are required. Register here.

Bike Maintenance 101 Farragut Community Center Wednesday, May 14, 4:30-6 p.m.

All ages, free Learn some basics about caring for your bicycle with Hurricane Cycles!

Ride Along Friday, May 16, 4:30 p.m. at Parkside Greenway (Park at the At Home lot) Saturday, May 17, 9 a.m. at Grigsby Chapel Greenway (Park at 11700 Campbell Lakes Drive) All ages, free Don’t forget to bring your own bicycle!

ATHLETICS

Drop-in Dodgeball Tuesdays, beginning April 1, 7-9 p.m.

Ages 18 and up, $2 per player Drop-in Dodgeball provides adults the opportunity to make friends and get exercise by playing a weekly game of dodgeball. We will divide into two teams and play classic dodgeball. We look forward to playing with you!

Did you know...

Farragut Community Center offers Program Punch Cards for $30 each. These cards contain $40 worth of program punches, can be shared among family members and do not expire. Ask our front desk staff about this deal the next time you visit!

Spring Adult Volleyball Leagues Cost: $175 per team for recreation and intermediate leagues $125 per team for competitive fours league Registration ends Thursday, April 3.

Spring recreational league (six players) Games will be played on Monday evenings beginning April 7 at Mayor Bob Leonard Park. Two women must be on the court at all times.

Spring competitive fours league (four players) Games will be played on Monday evenings beginning April 7 at McFee Park. Two women must be on the court at all times.

Spring intermediate league (six players) Games will be played on Thursday evenings beginning April 10 at Mayor Bob Leonard Park. Two women must be on the court at all times.

OPEN GYM

Youth Basketball Open Gym Tuesdays and Fridays, beginning June 3, 4-6:30 p.m.

Cost: $2 per person Ages 13 and under This basketball open gym is specifically for youth ages 13 and under.

Parents/guardians must stay on-site with participants.

Pickleball Open Gym Mondays and Fridays, noon-3 p.m.

Wednesdays, 4-9 p.m.

Cost: $4 per person Ages 14 and up Grab a paddle and get ready to play! During this time, the gym is on the challenge court system. To maximize community use, users may experience wait times.

Pickup Basketball Thursdays, 6:30-9 p.m.

Cost: $4 per person Ages 14 and up No need to pre-register – just bring a ball and get ready to play! This session is specifically for individuals who want to play scrimmage-style, non-refereed games.

Volleyball Open Gym Mondays, 6:30-9 p.m.

Cost: $4 per person Ages 14 and up Limited equipment is available for checkout and nets are provided.

Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and get your free community center membership. To maximize community use, users may experience wait times.

Family Basketball Thursdays until May 29, 4-6 p.m.

Cost: $2 per person No need to pre-register – just bring a ball and get ready to play! Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and get your free community center membership. This session is specifically for youth and families to shoot around and play without the intensity of pickup open gyms.

Art Adventures Tuesdays, Jan. 14 – May 20, 2-3:30 p.m.

Cost: $4 per child Ages 6 to 12 Each week, our school-aged artists will create a new project with varying mediums. All skill levels are welcome!

Preregistration is not required. *There will be no class March 18 Afterschool Art Wednesdays, Jan. 15 – May 21, 3:30-5 p.m.

Elementary Homeschool PE Grades K-5 (ages 6-10) Tuesdays, Jan. 14 – May 20, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Wednesdays, Jan. 15 – May 21, 1-2 p.m.

Cost: $2 per child This homeschool PE class will feature sports and group games that emphasize teamwork, good sportsmanship, physical activity and fun! Participants must be at least 6 years old to participate. Preregistration is not required. *There will be no class March 18, 19 or April 23, 24 Middle School Homeschool PE Grades 6-8 (ages 11-14) Wednesdays, Jan. 15 – May 21, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Cost: $2 per child This homeschool PE class will emphasize organized sports, competition and physical activity, while still including plenty of group games, teamwork and fun! Preregistration is not required. *There will be no class March 19 or April 24

Toddler Takeover Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11 a.m.

Cost: $2 per child Ages walking to 5 years Join us for this guardian-supervised indoor playtime and let your child explore our bright, colorful, ageappropriate equipment!

Elementary School Math Club Every other Monday, 1-2 p.m.

Grades 1-5 Cost: $4 per class Join us for a class that helps Elementary School Students engage with Math in a new way! Students will complete STEMrelated activities, as well as math puzzles, games and worksheets. Click here for the full schedule.

Tiny Tots Soccer Tuesdays, April 8-May 13, 4-4:45 p.m.

Cost: $25 per child Ages 4 to 6 Tiny Tots Soccer is an introductory sixweek program that will teach tiny athletes the building blocks of soccer!

Parents are required to participate with their child. Register here.

Beginner Ballet Level 1: Thursdays, 3-4 p.m.

Ages 4-6, Level 2: Thursdays, 4-5 p.m.

Ages 7-12 Cost: $30 per month Beginner Ballet teaches the fundamentals of ballet and focuses on grace, flexibility, teamwork and creativity. Please come to class with hair pulled back, tights, leotard, ballet shoes and a smile! Register here.

Youth Tennis Lessons McFee Park ·Ages 7-9 Mondays, April 7 – May 12, 4-5 p.m. ·Ages 10-12 Wednesdays, May 7 – June 11, 4-5 p.m. $30 per child This six-week program is perfect for beginner youth who are interested in playing tennis! We will learn basic strokes, serves, and other skills necessary for enjoying the game. All equipment is provided. Preregistration is required, as space is limited! Register here.

Adulting 101 Farragut Community Center Thursdays, April 3-May 1, 4-5pm Ages 14-18, $10 for all Classes This class equips youth with essential life skills to navigate adulthood with confidence. Through interactive lessons, practical exercises and expert guidance, they will develop the independence, resilience and critical thinking needed to thrive in everyday life. Beginner French for Kids Farragut Community Center Mondays, June 2-23, 2-3 p.m.

Ages 8 to 14, $20 for four classes Your kids can learn beginner French!

No experience is required to register.

This is a casual and fun class where participants will learn some of the basic components of spoken and written French, some cultural aspects of France and some concepts to help with travel. Parents are not required to stay during class. Register here.

Youth Pickleball Lessons Farragut Community Center Wednesdays, June 11 – July 23, 2-3 p.m.

Ages 9-12, $10 per child This 6-week program is a perfect introduction for young pickleball players.

Kids Free Play (Open Gym) Farragut Community Center Mondays, April 7-June 30, 4-5 p.m.

Ages 4-12, $2 per child Join us on Mondays from 4-5 p.m. for our Free Play hour. Kids can play and stay active in this open gym! With plenty of space and fun activities, it's the perfect way to burn energy and have a blast!

Creative Space Farragut Community Center Mondays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Ages 6-12, free A perfect opportunity for school-aged kids to use the classroom for some open-ended work time. You can do a puzzle, learn a new art technique, work on homework, write in a journal, do some crocheting… The possibilities are endless! Limited supplies for various activities will be provided.

FITNESS

Rise and Shine Yoga Mondays and Fridays, 8:15-9:15 a.m.

Cost: $4 or two punches on a punch card per session.

Rise and shine! Start your day off right with a morning yoga class led by registered yoga teacher Mindy Wise or Jenny Trussell! Bring a yoga mat, water and a positive attitude!

Sunrise Stretch Wednesdays, 8:15-9:15 a.m.

Cost: Free Start your day off right with a sunrise yoga session! This 60-minute class is the perfect way to start the day for beginning to advanced yogis with registered yoga teacher Jenny Trussell.

Bring a mat and a smile.

Zumba Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Cost: $4 per class Ages 18 and up We take the "work" out of workout with Zumba! Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance class that makes getting fit, fun!

Total Fitness Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Cost: $4 or two punches on a punch card, per session.

Join Rachel Piotrowski, certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer, for a total body fitness class! This class is tailored to individuals of all fitness levels and focuses on functional exercises to improve overall strength and balance.

Don’t forget water, a mat and weights or resistance band.
