To support long-term tourism growth for the city region, we promote partner businesses to drive visitor footfall and encourage visitors to stay longer and spend more. Tourism is a key driver for economic growth, generating £71m visitor spend and supporting 5,406 jobs across the city region pre-covid. Visitors from home and overseas choose our destination and enjoy a truly unique tourism experience. We actively work with our partners and over 250 tourism businesses to promote the city and region as a destination of choice and, in doing so, generate vital revenue for the local economy.
