DOWNTOWN DENVER
Navigating Denver’s walkable downtown is easy, thanks to 16th Street, a striking treelined pedestrian promenade that connects the core of the city from one end to the other, with notable landmarks along the way.
The city completed a major revitalization of the mile-long corridor in 2025. There are now more shaded seating areas, public gathering spots, art installations and “moments of joy” that encourage people to smile and take pictures.
It’s the perfect place to get some air, go for a stroll and check out the outdoor cafés, historic buildings, retail stores and glass-walled skyscrapers. You might hear live music and see street entertainers on any given day.
Free electric shuttles branded the 16th Street Free Ride, run up and down the promenade and stop at every corner, connecting visitors to downtown’s 52 hotels and nearly 13,000 rooms, with a wide variety of brands and price points represented. Nearly all of those rooms are accessible via the shuttles.
From 16th Street, you’re only a short walk away from the Colorado Convention Center, Denver Performing Arts Complex, Larimer Square and Denver Union Station. You can’t get lost; you can only have fun!

EXPERIENCE THE OUTDOORS
ALL YEAR LONG
It’s easy for groups to plug into Denver’s naturefueled state of mind, and it’s common for attendees to arrive early or extend their stays to experience more of Colorado. The city and nearby Rocky Mountains are a pre- and post-trip paradise with all sorts of attractions and a treasure trove of activities.
FOUR SEASON ALLURE
Each season in Colorado provides its own unique beauty. Spring and summer are spectacular in the mountains with flowing streams and endless lakes. Within a two-hour drive of Denver, there are five distinct climate zones, which create a cascade of colors in the fall. And while it might still be balmy in the city, when winter sports kick off, they bring a whole new level of excitement to the high country.
Natural beauty and outdoor adventures can be found in all directions.
RED ROCKS TRAIL
EASY MOUNTAIN ACCESS
In the summer, rafting, fly-fishing, hiking, biking and ATV excursions will have attendees swapping stories and photos. In the winter, planning a ski outing to iconic resorts like Vail, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge is a breeze with various shuttle services. Or hop aboard trains bound for the high country in downtown Denver. Amtrak’s Winter Park Express delivers skiers and snowboarders all winter long to this charming resort. From April to October, see mountains, canyons and other geologic wonders as the Rocky Mountaineer (soon to be renamed Canyon Spirit) transports travelers from Denver to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Moab and Salt Lake City, Utah.
COLORADO’S NATIONAL PARKS
Colorado is home to several national parks with vastly different character. Rocky Mountain National Park, famous for its high peaks and wildlife, is only 90 minutes from Denver. Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is home to the tallest sand dunes in North America and is a little less than four hours away. On the other side of the state, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park has a 2,000-footdeep canyon, while Mesa Verde National Park is known for its Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings.

BLOCKBUSTER ENTERTAINMENT
From live theater to music, the city buzzes with creative energy. The Denver Performing Arts Complex, in the heart of downtown, features 10 performance spaces and 10,000 seats on its four-block site. MICHELIN STAMP OF APPROVAL
There are many nationally recognized chefs and restaurants delivering a delicious range of tastes in the Mile High City. But don’t take our word for it. In Michelin’s Colorado guide, four Denver restaurants were among the state’s first restaurants to receive the prestigious one-star designation: Alma Fonda Fina, Beckon, Brutø and The Wolf’s Tailor. It’s also possible to have a Michelin dining experience at various price points with several other local eateries receiving a Bib Gourmand nod for offering excellent food at a good value or Recommended recognition for high-quality meals with fresh ingredients.

Located along the South Platte River, NWC has versatile indoor and outdoor spaces such as the Stockyards Event Center, the three-building CSU Spur campus, The Yards and six acres of grassy riverfront open space that includes an amphitheater.
