The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra performs a lively mix of music, great for all ages. Be sure to catch their exciting Pops on the Rock concert every Independence Day, featuring music and fireworks over the Rock River.
Enjoy Fridays in the Park from May to September in downtown Beloit! Grab a budget-friendly lunch and listen to live music from 11:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m., with new performances and entertainment each week.

Downtown Beloit Farmers’ Market
Since 1975, the Beloit Farmers’ Market in downtown Beloit has attracted thousands of locals and visitors. With more than 130 vendors, it is Wisconsin’s second largest farmers’ market, behind the Dane County Farmers’ Market in Madison. The outdoor market offers a wide variety of local produce, organics, baked goods, artisan crafts, of course, Wisconsin cheese, and so much more. Enjoy shopping in historic downtown Beloit along with family-friendly activities like face painting, balloon animals, and live music every Saturday, from May through October, 8 a.m. 1 p.m., rain or shine. If you’re staying at one of the boutique hotels downtown, you can simply step outside the lobby to reach the market. If you’re visiting during the off-season, from November through April, 9 a.m. 12 p.m., the indoor Winter Crafter & Farmers’ Market features handmade crafts, produce, baked goods, food vendors, and children’s activities.

Beckman Mill
Discover Beckman Mill, a 50-acre site with attractions like a historic restored grist mill, dating back to 1868, mill pond, nature trails, and more. From May to October, visit the mill, gift shop, and museum on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 - 4 p.m. for guided tours. Enjoy hands-on experiences like corn grinding and blacksmith demonstrations every first Saturday of the month, along with other events throughout the season.
Historic Auto Attractions
Just an eight-minute drive across the Wisconsin border into Roscoe, IL, you’ll find a unique museum full of history. Be sure you have plenty of time, Historic Auto Attractions has more than 80,000 sq. ft. of exhibits! Just a small portion of exhibits include collections of presidential and world leader’s limousines and memorabilia, the Big Foot Monster Truck and speed boats, Egyptian artifacts, NASA space equipment, the iconic Batmobile from the Batman franchise, and so much more!
Wright Museum of Art
Located on the Beloit College Campus, the Wright Museum of Art is open to the public and offers plenty of art to explore! This 95-year-old museum is home to around 6,000 works in its permanent collection with highlights from regional and student artists, and national touring shows.

For some fun in the sun, check out the Rotary River Center and John Rose Canoe & Kayak Launch to paddle around in a kayak. Pearl Lake offers endless fun and relaxation for all ages, as it’s a beach, RV resort, and scuba diving area all in one. Enjoy soft, groomed sand, crystal-clear waters with up to 70 feet of visibility, and an inflatable water park. Rent paddleboards or kayaks, or relax with food and drinks from the clubhouse or local food trucks on select days.
Located just at the top of the bluffs overlooking the Rock River in Beloit sits Big Hill Park. The park stands as one of Beloit’s most breathtaking destinations, spanning 190 acres of natural beauty. Within the park, you’ll find winding nature trails, biking paths, cross-country skiing routes, Welty Environmental Center, an environmental education center for children, and the most captivating scenic overlook in all of Beloit. Nature at The Confluence is rich in history as it was once home to the Ho-Chunk village “Ke-Chunk,” meaning “Turtle”, in the early 1800s. Today, this nearly 100-acre nature center is surrounded by the Rock River, Turtle Creek, and Kelly Creek. Explore the natural beauty at the unique spot where Beloit, WI meets South Beloit, IL. In addition to scenic trails, the nature center hosts a variety of familyfriendly events throughout the year.
South Beloit City Park has everything for a fun family day! Pack a picnic, take a stroll along the walking path, or bike the scenic trails. Try your hand at disc golf on the newly built 18-hole Victoria Lake Disc Golf Course for some friendly competition. If you and your family are into water activities, bring a kayak to explore the blue waters or cast a line and see if you can reel in a big catch.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit
The largest economic development project in the history of Beloit is now officially underway. Ho-Chunk Nation representatives joined numerous Beloit representatives and residents on October 25, 2024 to ceremoniously begin the construction of Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit; which includes a 76,413 square foot convention center, a 18-story hotel with 312 rooms, a casino, and four restaurants. This will be the second largest casino in the state with more than 1,500 slot machines, 44 table games, a sportsbook, and a casino bar. Get ready for some major fun in 2026!
