History Bukit Mawar

Bukit Mawar was inaugurated on June 6, 2020, by Mr. Arya Wedakarna at the Banjar service location in Ampo Village, Jungutan Village, Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency. Bali, according to Erik Kurniawan, a resident of the Bendadem sub-district, is synonymous with roses and has stones that have a thick history from before this hill existed; this hill was once a dense forest. In the 1970s, a resident named Ketut Suardana cleared the forest and planted rose trees. Since then, this hill has been known as the Rose Hill. At that time, the Karangasem Regency government built a park on a hilltop. The park is equipped with various facilities, such as a gazebo, playground, and swimming pool. Bukit Mawar is increasingly visited by tourists after the construction of the park.

An unspoiled place and still is deserted by visitors.
The boulder on Rose Hill is one of the attractions that makes this hill even more popular. This large stone has a unique and beautiful shape, so many tourists want to take pictures in front of it. This big stone is also believed to have magical powers, so many people come to Bukit Mawar to seek blessings. According to myths that developed in the community about the large stone on Rose Hill, the large stone has the power to cure disease. Although there is no scientific evidence to support these myths, many people believe that the large stone on Rose Hill has magical powers. This makes Bukit Mawar more attractive for tourists to visit.
