WELCOME BACK PICNIC

Monday, August 12, 4 – 7 pm Location: DeChantal Hall and the Upper School Café Volunteers: Viz Moms and Dads A school-wide community event! MS and US students will be able to set up their lockers. Viz Station will be open, you can grab some items from our used uniform sale or pick up your pre-ordered uniform from Just Me Apparel. Volunteer to sign up for a variety of events in the DeChantal Hall Events Showcase and grab your Parent Packet and yearbook.

FATHERS’ CLUB STEAK NIGHT

Thursday, September 5, 6 - 9 pm Location: Upper School Café Volunteers: Viz Dads

An event just for the dads to meet each other and enjoy conversation and fellowship over a great steak cooked by our school Chef. This is an opportunity to sign up for volunteer positions, to learn more about Fathers’ Club and how to get involved and to meet the current board. Casual attire, jeans appropriate.

UPPER SCHOOL MOTHER-DAUGHTER MASS AND BRUNCH

Sunday, September 15, 10 am Location: The Chapel of the Visitation, followed by brunch at Old Warson Country Club Volunteers: 7/8th grade Viz Moms

Enjoy Mass and brunch with your daughter and meet new Viz students and moms. This event is for mothers and their daughters in grades 9-12 and requires pre-registration. Church attire.

MOTHERS’ CLUB “MOMS MIXER” KICK-OFF

Thursday, September 19, 6:30 pm Location: DeChantal Hall

This casual event is for all Viz moms! The general meeting will provide helpful information for the school year and will be followed by some time to get to know current and new moms. Casual attire.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Monday, September 23, 10:00 am shotgun start Location: Persimmon Woods Golf Club Volunteers: Viz Moms and Dads This school-sponsored fundraiser supports the Athletic Department and funds many of their needs. The Fathers’ Club works with the Event Coordinator to put together this popular event. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome to come out and play. Our goal is to raise money and have fun!

FALL FESTIVAL

Saturday, September 28 Location: Viz Campus Volunteers: Viz Moms and Dads This fun family event is coordinated by Upper School STUCO and supported by Fathers’ Club through coordination of security and safety to barbequing.

LOWER SCHOOL BARN DANCE Friday, October 25, 6 – 8 pm Location: DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Moms

This fun event is for all Lower School parents, students, and siblings, grades Toddler – 5th grade. Western attire is encouraged. There will be a DJ, face painters, photo booth, and more! Look for more information to come via email at the beginning of the school year. Pre-registration is required.

PARENT TRIVIA NIGHT

Saturday, November 9, 6 – 10 pm Location: DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Dads This is a night for just the parents to grab some friends for some friendly competition. This event is planned by the Fathers’ Club and all money raised goes to support Fathers’ Club initiatives.

CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE

Wednesday, November 20, 5 – 9 pm Location: DeChantal Hall and Cass Commons Volunteers: Viz Moms Come shop at our annual Christmas Boutique! Find the perfect gift at one of the 20+ fun, hip vendors, selling everything from candles to stationary to clothing to home decor. Feel free to bring friends and family.

Refreshments will be served.

SCHOOL CHRISTMAS DECORATING

The Mothers’ Club puts their special touch on our hallways and meeting spaces for Christmas each year. This is a two day process that requires many hands.

ST. NICK’S NOOK AND CAFÉ NOEL BAKE SHOP

Friday, December 6, 8 am – 2 pm Location: DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Moms

This mini-version of the Christmas Boutique is just for our Lower School students and gives them the opportunity to purchase inexpensive Christmas presents and baked goods for family and friends.

FACULTY & STAFF CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST

Monday, December 9, 8 – 9:30 am Location: DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Moms

This breakfast is hosted by the Mothers’ Club to show appreciation to all of the Visitation Academy Faculty and Staff.

The school will be on a late start schedule that morning.

Students will not be allowed to arrive on campus until 10:00 am.

MOTHERS’ CLUB CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE PARTY

Wednesday, December 11, 6:30 pm Location: Home of a Viz Mom

Celebrate the holidays with your Viz mom friends! This event is open to ALL Viz Moms, giving them the chance to slow down and enjoy a festive gathering before the Christmas holiday. Event also includes a small service project for those who are interested. Festive Christmas attire.

FATHERS’ CLUB ANNUAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Sunday, December 29 – Wednesday, January 1 Location: Buder and Marion Gyms Volunteers: Viz Moms and Dads

Local CYC basketball teams compete at this yearly event for a chance to be the Viz champion. Volunteers are needed to work the school concession stand, help feed the basketball officials, and act as scorers and timers.

UPPER SCHOOL FATHER–DAUGHTER DINNER DANCE Saturday, February 1, 6pm Location: The Ritz-Carlton Volunteers: Viz US Moms and Dads

This is a special night for the dads and their daughters at a location off campus.

A sit-down dinner is served and a live band provides the entertainment.

Semi-formal attire for fathers of grades 9-11. Senior dads wear tuxes.

SAFARI AUCTION

Saturday, February 29, 5 pm Location: Marion Gym Volunteers: Viz Moms and Dads This is the biggest fundraiser of the school year and is fully supported by the school’s Advancement Department and volunteer event chair along with volunteers from Mothers’ and Father’s Clubs. Funds raised at this event support educational initiatives, and funds raised through Fund a Need support tuition assistance. Attire varies.

FATHERS’ CLUB MARCH MADNESS EVENT Date: TBD Location: TBD

This evening event is held off campus. Dads and moms gather for some social time while watching one of the popular NCAA March Madness games.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FATHER–DAUGHTER TRIVIA NIGHT Friday, March 27, 6 – 8 pm Location: DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Moms

This event is open to all Middle School dads and daughters. You can reserve a table, or we can help coordinate seating by grade. This is a casual event with dinner and drinks provided. Pre-registration is required for this event. Casual attire.

JUNIOR RING MASS AND RECEPTION Friday, April 3, 9:00 – 10: 30 am Location: Buder Gym and DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Sophomore Moms

This special Mass celebrates juniors as they receive their Visitation ring.

A reception for juniors and their families follows in DeChantal Hall.

LOWER SCHOOL FATHER–CHILD ROYAL BALL

Saturday, April 18, 6 pm Location: Offsite (TBD) Volunteers: Viz Moms

This is a special event for Lower School grades Toddler – 3rd (boys and girls) and their dads. Dressy attire. Pre-registration is required for this event.

MOTHERS’ CLUB SPRING LUNCHEON

Friday, April 24, 11 am Location: Old Warson Country Club Volunteers: Viz Moms

This luncheon is open to all Visitation moms including Crescent moms, alumnae, and incoming moms. Vendors will be on hand selling a variety of merchandise. The new Mothers’ Club Board of Directors will be introduced at this event. Pre-registration is required. Festive spring attire.

UNIFORM RECYCLING

Wednesday, April 29, 7:30 am– 4 pm Location: Cass Commons Volunteers: Viz Moms This all-day event is open to all current and incoming parents. Please enter through the circle drive doors to access this sale. All Viz uniforms from toddler to seniors will be available for purchase.

SENIOR MOTHERS MASS AND RETREAT

Thursday, April 15, 9 am Location: Viz campus Volunteers: Viz Junior Moms

This event is for senior moms only. The purpose of this event is to give our Senior moms an opportunity to share their faith and fellowship with other moms and spiritually prepare for their daughters to graduate. A speaker will be presenting on a variety of topics geared to these moms and brunch will be provided. Mass attire.

4TH & 5TH GRADE FATHER-DAUGHTER EVENT Saturday, May 2nd, 6 – 8 pm Location: Offsite (TBD) Volunteers: Viz Moms

This event is for all 4th and 5th grade students and their fathers or special guests. An invitation will be sent to all families in these grades with the important details, including attire. Pre-registration is required for this event.

BACCALAUREATE MASS AND RECEPTION

Thursday, May 14, 7 pm Location: The Chapel of the Visitation and DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Junior Moms This event recognizes all our Visitation seniors at a special Mass.

There is a reception following with light desserts and drinks.

Mass attire; coat and tie required for men.

SENIOR LOCK-IN

Friday, May 15, 10 pm - 4 am Location: Des Peres Lodge Volunteers: Viz Senior Moms and Dads This overnight lock-in is one of the last big celebrations before graduation. Many senior parents are needed to pull off this event!

SAY YES TO THE VIZ DRESS

Thursday, June 11, 6:30 pm - 8 pm Location: DeChantal Hall Volunteers: Viz Moms This event is for all rising seniors. Graduation dresses are donated by Viz Alumnae and will be available for either purchase or rental (first-come basis) for Graduation and Maypole events. A seamstress is on-hand to advise on alterations.
