NUNNERY ROMAN FORT Open every day 10-4.30, Free entry
Discover 2,000 years of Alderney’s history at the best preserved small Roman fort in Western Europe. There are story boards, an information room, large WWII bunker and much, much more to explore in this amazing heritage site.
THE ODEON Open every day 10-4, Free entry This massive WWII Naval range-finding tower was built by forced labourers under the German occupying power in 1943. There are four floors to explore with information boards, a short WWII film and a telescope, which offers amazing views to France.
ALDERNEY MUSEUM Mon to Fri 10-12noon /2.30-4.30, Sat & Sun 10-12 alderneymuseum.org The award winning museum provides a history of the island from the pre-historic period to the present day. Open April to October, by request at other times.
ALDERNEY TRAIN alderneyrailway.gg The only working railway in the Channel Islands. The first people to ride on the line were Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1854. Nowadays this historic railway line provides lots of interest and entertainment. WATERMILL, BONNE TERRE Open every day Situated in the Bonne Terre valley the earliest record of the mill is from the 1200’s. The present building is an authentic rebuild of the 1792 mill which has been lovingly restored for everyone to enjoy.




ALDERNEY CINEMA Monday & Thursday Evening Visitors to the island are charmed by the ‘step back in time’ feel of watching a film in our small cinema which seats only 90 people and is run by enthusiastic volunteers.
ST ANNES BELL TOWER alderneybells.com The Church of St Anne is home to the only peal of twelve bells in the Channel Islands. Ringing and non-ringing visitors are welcome to a practice every Monday 5pm and Saturday 10am.

Situated near the lighthouse this recently refurbished miniature railway winds its way through a wilderness of willow, gorse and bracken and provides fun for both adults and children alike.
