In celebration of the ancestral skills and rich heritage of the United Arab Emirates, the Liwa International Festival hosts the Hedad Al-Hamam Championship for the sixth consecutive year. In this unique competition, falconers compete in hunting pigeons using falcons, showcasing the birds' speed and precision in capturing their prey. The Hedad Al-Hamam Championship highlights the beauty of the bond between the falconer and his falcon, reflecting the falcon's strength and the falconer's hunting skills, reviving the grandeur of hunting traditions and connecting new generations to this authentic heritage.

For your safety and the safety of all visitors, please adhere to the following instructions while in race and event areas:

• Reckless vehicle or motorcycle stunts are strictly prohibited near campsites or public areas to prevent accidents.

• Ensure the track path is clear and safe before ascending or descending the Hill Dune (Tal Moreeb) to avoid potential hazards, danger or accidents.

• Helmets must be worn when riding motorcycles. Children under 18 years old are strictly prohibited from riding motorcycles unless under direct parental supervision and only in designated areas.

• Avoid creating loud or disturbing noises with vehicles or motorcycles near campsites.

• All traffic safety rules must be followed, including wearing seat belts, using headlights when driving at night, and adhering to roads speed limits.

• Motorcycles of all types are not allowed on paved road (public streets).

• The use of any type of aircraft, including drones or gliders, is strictly prohibited without prior authorisation from the relevant authorities.
