Competition Rules for the “One Summer is not enough” competition.
Name: This Competition is called “One Summer is not enough”
Duration: This Competition will run for a period of one (1) week commencing from the date of the first promotion posting on relevant social media platforms or as otherwise extended by us at any time.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this Competition and any prize offers:
• Your name must:
o be “Summer”;
o sound like the name “Summer”; or
o mean “Summer” or its equivalent in a language other than English or has an equivalent meaning in your national language
• you must complete all details of the online Details Form associated with this Competition https://visitabudhabi.ae/en/campaign/summer-summit-2024
• You may only submit one (1) entry per Contestant
• Submitted names of participants MUST be their actual/legal names.
• Alias or pet names or otherwise will not be accepted.
• Participants MUST validate their names with an official proof.
• All Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Competition Organiser’s and not at the time of transmission by the Contestant.
Competition Submission:
A Contestant, if eligible, must submit a short format video to vadsm@dctabudhabi.ae telling us why they want to come to Abu Dhabi, and how excited they are to visit and holiday in Abu Dhabi (Entry Video)
The Entry Video length must only be between 30-60 seconds
Once winning Contestant’s (Winner) are selected (see below), and are in Abu Dhabi enjoying the prize (see below), each winning Contestant will be required to, and must consent to, being filmed by us at agreed times and locations in Abu Dhabi for the filming and production of a short video of each winner enjoying their experiences in Abu Dhabi at the selected venues and locations forming part of the Holiday prize (Holiday Video).
The Holiday Video, its contents and our rights to use, broadcast, reproduce and/or provide to Competition Organisers or other Experience Abu Dhabi social medial platforms is and will be at all times subject to the terms and conditions and any licence granted as set out in the Competition T&C’s on www.visitabudhabi.ae
Judging rules:
The Entry Video will be judged:
• entirely on DCT Abu Dhabi’s absolute discretion
• DCT/VisitAbudhabi.ae judging panel will select 3 Winners only from those short-listed Contestant Entry Videos.
We will contact Winners through a direct message/email to the contact details provided by each Winner and only after each Winner of the Competition confirms acceptance of the prizes on offer and that they are able to confirm they will avail themselves of the prizes offered Prize:
The prize offer for being a Winner in this Competition is a holiday package as set out below (Holiday)
• 2 x return economy flights to Abu Dhabi from the Winners place of residency (or as otherwise agreed) for 2 adults (being the Winner and the Winner’s chosen companion for the Holiday)
• Airport transfers to and from Abu Dhabi International Airport / Hotel in Abu Dhabi
• Accommodation for 4 nights at a 5-star hotel selected by DCT Abu Dhabi with a detailed itinerary for the Winner that includes various culinary experiences in Abu Dhabi (excluding alcohol and shisha consumption)
• Free passes for 2 adults to all selected Abu Dhabi attractions and experiences as set out in the itinerary.
• Free transportation in and around Abu Dhabi for the 4-night duration of your stay.
• DCT will assist in obtaining the UAE visit visas for the Winner and Winner companion Winners will be provided with an itinerary of activities and experiences that they must participate in for the duration of the Holiday.
The Holiday prize is personal and non-transferable, meaning they cannot be given, assigned or sold to anyone else. You accept the Holiday we award to you entirely at your own risk and we are not liable for any adverse consequence you experience because of your acceptance and of the Holiday.
The Holiday prize must be taken strictly in accordance with the dates, destinations, number of passengers and other conditions specified by us or the any of the Competition Organiser’s
You will be disqualified from winning a Holiday if you: do not possess a valid passport with at least 6 months’ further duration and/or if you have visa restrictions on your ability to travel to the Holiday’s destination.
You are responsible for obtaining adequate Holiday travel insurance, at your expense.
You must comply with all Competition or Holiday-related airline, other transportation and venue requirements and with any additional condition imposed by a Competition Organiser You must comply with all health and safety instructions and all applicable legal requirements.
You are responsible for all costs associated with any delay or repatriation expense you experience because of your inability to obtain a right of entry to your Holiday’s destination country.
