Skihytta ligger rett ovenfor Lyngseidet/Ivgomuotki. Det er en dagstur som passer utmerket for familier med større barn som er vant å gå i terreng. Herfra får du flott utsikt over Lyngenfjorden. Fra parkeringen ved skibua på Sommarsetveien er det merket sti til Skihytta. For mange er selve hytta turmålet, men for like mange er hytta et veldig populært pausestopp før videre vandring opp i fjellet. Hytta har ved og utstyr for å lage mat. Noen legger inn et kort stopp her før bestigning av fjell som Goalsevárri og Rørnestinden.
The Skihytta cabin is located directly up from Lyngseidet/Ivgomuotki. This is an excellent day trip for families with older children who are used to hiking. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Lyngenfjord. The path is marked from the car park beside the ski hut in Sommarsetveien up to the Skihytta cabin. Although the cabin is the goal for many, it also serves as a popular rest area before continuing up into the mountains. There is firewood and equipment to cook food. Some have a break here before climbing mountains such as Goalsevárri and Rørnestinden.
