Itinerary

DAY 01 LJUBLJANA AIRPORT – BLED – NOVA GORICA Arrival to Ljubljana Airport and drive to Mansion Jezersek for welcome drink and lunch. Further to the Alpine pearl Bled for guided tour including the entrance to Bled Castle. Take a pletna boat to visit the Church on the island. After continue to Vrsic Pass and beautiful Soca Valley. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Bovec.

Included entrance to the First War Museum in Kobarid.Dinner at local restaurant and overnight. (L,D)

DAY 02 NOVA GORICA – IDRIJA – KOLPA VALLEY – OLIMIA SPA Breakfast at hotel.

This morning we will travel to Idrija for guided tour of town that quicksilver has built. Visit Antony’s mine shaft (Antonijev rov), five secturies old and the earliest part of an extensive tunnel network below Idrija (800 km). Enter the Lace School (Cipkarska sola) next to Town Hall. Enjoy lunch at Inn Kos for a taste of local specialities. After drive to Kolpa Valley. Dinner at local restaurant with optional folklore show. Evening arrival to Olimia Spa. (B,L,D)

DAY 03 OLIMIA SPA – SOLCAVA – MANSION JEZERSEK Breakfast at hotel.

Drive to Solcava, a small village situated in the narrow valley of the Savinja River in Savinjska region, close to the Austrian border. You will have a short stop at the multipurpose centre Rinka, a new acquisition with a small museum and a shop of local products. Enjoy the lunch at a tourist farm »Govc« in Robanov kot and continue to Logarska Valley. It is a peaceful place, placed in the middle of beautiful national park in quiet nature, far away from main roads. After continue through Gornji Grad and Kamnik to Mansion Jezersek for farewell dinner. (B,L,D)

EDEN project The “European Destinations of ExcelleNce” (EDEN) project, was started by the European Commission in accordance with European tourism policy guidelines.

The aim of the project is to promote sustainable tourism development models across the European Union; that is to draw attention to the value, diversity and shared characteristics of European tourist destinations and to promote destinations where economic growth is pursued in such a way as to ensure social, cultural and environmental sustainability.

The purpose of the EDEN project is to identify and award the most sustainable and ‘green’ destinations which represent the principles of environmental awareness, social responsibility and cultural sustainability, thus facilitating their further development.
