How long have you been at Greene King? Seven Months

Career background: I have worked in transport for 20 years. Started out as a load planner and have worked for various logistics companies.

What does a typical day look like for you? I spend a lot of time checking all is okay and running smoothly, sorting out various reports that give me information on how the Transport team is performing. I also manage a team of 44 drivers/dray crew, so I make sure all is okay with my team. My role can be quite reactive and involves having to respond to any issues that may arise such as delivery problems, breakdowns, vehicle defects etc. I really enjoy the variety my role brings; no two days are the same!

Three words to sum up your role: Flexibility is key!

What would you say to someone looking to apply to a role like yours? I would say absolutely go for it! If you enjoy problem solving and variety, it would be the job for you.
