CONNECTIVITY:-

MAJOR TRANSIT POINTS ARE NEHRU PLACE METRO STATION (BLUE LINE), KALKAJI MANDIR METRO STATION (MAJENTA LINE) AND NEHRU ENCLAVE (MAGENTA LINE) AND NEHRU PLACE TERMINAL

THE MAIN ATTRACTION IN THE REGION IS THE WHOLE NEHRU PLACES MARKET WHICH IS FAMOUS FOR ITS ELECTRONIC MARKET SPECIALISED IN LAPTOPS AND COMPUTERS.

LOTUS TEMPLE AND KALKAJI TEMPLE ARE THE OTHER ATTRACTION IN THE REGION WHICH IS AT A DISTANCE OF 1.3KM AND 0.55KM RESPECTIVELY FROM THE SITE.

CONCEPT

♦ GARDEN CITY IS A METHOD OF URBAN PLANNING IN WHICH SELF-CONTAINED COMMUNITIES ARE SURROUNDED BY “GREEN BELT”, CONTAINING PROPORTIONATE AREA OF RESIDENCES, INDUSTRIES AND AGRICULTURES.

♦ THE IDEA WAS INITIATED BY SIR EBENEZER HOWARD IN 1898 IN UK AND AIM TO CAPTURE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS OF A COUNTRYSIDE ENVIRONMENT AND A CITY ENVIRONMENT WHILE VOIDING THE DISADVANTAGES OF BOTH.
