Marble and stone – a hard, solid, non-metallic, mineral matter of which rock is made. At Vipp, marble is a recurring material choice in our furniture designs. The visual expression of the stone tells the tale of million of years of natural processing. Veins, fossils, and colour shades are the result of peculiar geological conditions and guarantee that no stones are identical.

Showcasing a dark grey background, Pietra Grey marble features bold, contrasting white and black veins. These organic veins traverse the stone's surface in intricate patterns, creating a refined contrast against the grey backdrop. The natural veins vary in thickness, from fine, delicate lines to broader, more pronounced streaks, leaving some marble slabs with a lot of white colouration, while others feature hardly any. In the Alp region of Bavaria, ocean sediments have shaped ‘Jura’, a dense, fine-grained stone rich in fossils. The Jura Grau Blau is characterized by a rustic appearance that spans in hues from warm, golden tones to cold, grey tones. Glass veins are very typical for the Jura stone, and are made from layers of crystal, apearing like a crack in the stone but are simply a natural charasteristic of the stone. Bark is our take on a bouclé textile that adds a tactile touch to Vipp sofas. "Bouclé," French for "loops," refers to the small curly loops in the yarn that give the fabric its distinctive character and softness when woven. Discreet yet full of details, the Bark upholstery offers uncompromising comfort. The viscose makes the fabric breathable, while also ensuring a soft and comfortable surface.

The name of this textile Wavy, refers to the fabric's structure, reminiscent of waves viewed from above. Its fluffy surface and wide-woven, undulating pattern make Wavy a recognizable fabric that stands out in Vipp's distinctive upholstery collection.
