B2B PEAK SEASON

WHY NO GAMER SHOULD BE WITHOUT QHD OR UHD

MAKE THE SHIFT TO WINDOWS 10

USB-C DOCKING TOTAL OFFICE SOLUTION

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: TENDA

NEW PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

As we head in to the peak season for IT B2B sales the trends (according to GfK) from Q4 continue. Software remains the largest segment. The Windows 7 to 10 refresh is a big part of this as businesses look to minimise disruption and security issues before Windows 7 becomes end of support on 14th January 2020.

As a reseller you will see sales of Windows 10 Home and Pro increase as we near the January deadline. VIP are doing as much as we can to help provide information and support to assist the migration for you and your customers. We’re providing POS and education as well as aggressive pricing and deals which will continue in to this next selling quarter.

Monitors are always in huge demand during the peak B2B season and Philips receive a big part of the mindshare in this market. USB-C monitors are popular with professionals and creatives right now as it’s a wellliked port on Windows 10 and Apple systems. The Philips USB C range is engineered with integrated USB C docking technology providing a single solution for transferring data, connecting video and powering and charging devices as well as daisy-chaining for multi-monitor setups.

Not a product you may associate with the B2B market but CPU sales are going to be big in the B2B space for peak. We’ve already seen a massive spike in sales with Intel shipping CPUs with no graphics cards such as the 9400F. With these units not having GPU capabilities, sales of 710 graphics cards have more than doubled over the past month or so. You will find that the Intel models are still also suffering with supply issues.

In comparison to Intel, AMD CPUs at this price point do include graphics capabilities and they have 2 ranges that are selling well in the B2B channel right now. AMD’s market share has grown considerably with them hitting the 44% mark recently and it’s tipped to grow further. The Athlon and APU ranges are a great alternative, remove the added cost of purchasing a separate graphics card and there are no supply issues to delay your builds or repairs.

Networking is also showing strong year on year growth and Tenda has a solution to suit every requirement. Launching soon and predicted to be a huge seller is the 4G680 V2 which is a 4G router (that works with a 4G dongle on any network) that will enable businesses to have a fail safe in the case that they lose Wi-Fi and cannot be without internet for business critical devices such as taking payments and running online stores. The 4G router will enable the business to simply switch over to a seamless and secure 4G connection easily and at a cost of only £69.99 RRP the technology provides a simple and cost effective solution to keep businesses running in the event of any internet supply issues. The 4G680 V2 will be available from June 2019.

Cooler Master is launching 2 new cases aimed at the B2B market in June that apply modern technology to a timeless design: the MasterBox NR400 and MasterBox NR600. The smaller MasterBox NR400 supports up to mATX motherboards, while the larger MasterBox NR600 supports up to standard ATX motherboards. They will be available with ODD at the following price points: NR400 £59.99 and NR600 £69.99.

An essential for businesses in the age of flexibility and home working are notebooks. The addition of the VAIO and TREKSTOR brands to VIP adds notebooks at every price point. The TrekStor solutions will be aggressively priced, high specification systems with great margin potential and will offer a cost effective solution to your B2B customers whilst the VAIO models are aimed at professionals and push the boundaries of what performance should be. VAIOs rigorous testing process puts devices to the limits of endurance. A premium notebook should be able to survive the rigours of life on the go and a VAIO notebook can withstand spills, being dropped and thrown. B2B peak 2019 will be filled with innovative tech and VIP is the home of everything your customers need.
