Mid Week Run

19 vehicles, classic and modern mix. turned up at the club rooms for a 10:40am departure. The run took us through the out skirts of Taradale to head through the naked grape vine area on Taihape Road. Turning into Ohiti Rd then down Matapiro Rd twisting and turning through lovely scenery on a perfect sunny cloudless day. Some of the Fence Eneariums still had their colourful leaves. After travelling through various back roads we ended up at Puketapu Domain for our lunch, stop. The after lunch quiz had the group observe 24 different items on a tray and once covered we had to write as many of the items that we could remember. This was a bit of a wakeup call for those of us not far off aiming to keep our drivers license when we turn 80!!! The most objects remembered was 16 with a prize going to Helen Ball, chocolate bars went to others who participated. Thanks go to Ian (Dr Workman) and Margaret for organising a very pleasant day out.
