SomerTFU t 8Jvenhoe "ULJOTPO %BNT With more than two million visitors each year, Seqwater’s dams and adjacent recreation areas are an important destination for many South East Queensland residents and tourists.

Seqwater strives to balance the ongoing health of the catchments and quality of the region’s drinking water supply while providing access for a range of day-use and permit-based recreational activities such as powered and non-powered boating, camping and fishing.

Seqwater has a number of boat ramps at Somerset, Wivenhoe, and Atkinson Dams which are generally open to the public from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm. Different types of vessels are permitted at different locations and boating permits are required for Somerset and Wivenhoe Dams. Permits can be purchased from the Wivenhoe Information Centre.

Seqwater also runs educational tours for school and community groups. These tours link catchments, water storage and treatment as part of the broader water cycle.
