Kelly's Drive began as a series of individual stories, each capturing a different chapter in Kelly's life a journey filled with passion, resilience, and love for the game of golf. What started as a single tale of a young girl's dream to play professional golf grew into a much larger narrative, exploring the challenges and triumphs that come with pursuing one's dreams, both on and off the course.
As I wrote each book in the series, I realized that Kelly's story was more than just a collection of experiences; it was a complete journey that deserved to be told in its entirety. By bringing all these stories together into one book, I hope to provide readers with a fuller picture of Kelly's life from her early days as a caddy to her rise in the LPGA, and from her return to her roots in Brite Star to her adventures around the world with Vince.
The inspiration for Kelly's Drive comes from many places, but most importantly, it comes from real-life experiences and the people who have shaped them. Kelly's determination, her unwavering love for golf, and her ability to face life's challenges with grace are qualities that resonate deeply with me. Through Kelly, I’ve been able to explore the themes of perseverance, love, and the importance of staying true to oneself—values that I hope will inspire readers as much as they have inspired me.

Kelly worked as a caddy at Brite Star Golf Course, watching the members play and dreaming of becoming a great golfer. "Do you think I can ever play like them?" Kelly asked herself. "With hard work and dedication, anything is possible," she thought.
When allowed, Kelly would hit balls and play the course, her dedication growing stronger each day.
"How can I improve my swing?" Kelly wondered.
"Keep practicing, and never give up," she reminded herself.
Sadly, the wealthier members her age didn't treat her with respect, making Kelly feel less as a person. "Why don't they see my potential?" Kelly asked, feeling down. "I'll prove them wrong through my hard work," she resolved.
Lefty, the head pro, noticed Kelly's relentless dedication and started spending more time with her in the off hours.
"Why are you helping me, Lefty?" Kelly asked, surprised.
"I see great potential in you, Kelly," Lefty smiled.
Lefty helped Kelly improve her golf game, teaching her new techniques and boosting her confidence. "Is this the right grip?" Kelly asked, adjusting her hands. "Perfect! Now, focus and swing," Lefty encouraged.
Lefty also helped Kelly with her golf wardrobe, making her feel more confident on the course. "Do I look like a real golfer now?" Kelly asked, beaming. "You look like a champion," Lefty affirmed.
Kelly's hard work paid off as she started winning Junior Golf tournaments, surprising everyone. "Can you believe it? I won!" Kelly exclaimed. "You deserved it, Kelly. Keep it up," Lefty cheered.
Kelly's dedication never wavered. She practiced tirelessly, no matter the conditions. "Why do you work so hard?" a fellow golfer asked. "Because I have a dream, and I won't stop until I achieve it," Kelly replied.
As she grew older, Kelly became a top amateur player, admired for her skills and perseverance. "How did you get so good?" a young fan asked. "Dedication and never giving up," Kelly answered with a smile.

You have been awarded a full scholarship to Brite Star University after you graduate high school." Kelly gasped, "I can't believe all this is happening!" Lefty smiled and said warmly, "Believe in yourself, Kelly, and never give up on your dreams."
