The Brite Star little kids were ready to count animals with Ms. Susan.
Today, they would learn numbers by counting up to ten!
"Who can count the giraffes?" asked Ms. Susan. "One!" Iris replied.
Next, she showed two monkeys. "Two!" Ivy called out.
"Now, how many bears?" Three bears grinned back. "Three!" Joey announced.
Four birds were tweeting in the next picture. "Four!" Lily said, flapping her arms.
"Who can count the frogs?" Five frogs were hopping. "Five!" Duke jumped up.
"Six!" Dan exclaimed when he saw the six
slithering snakes.
"Seven!" Emma called out as she saw seven happy dogs wagging their tails.
"Eight!" Joey cheered when eight rabbits appeared, twitching their noses.
Slowly but surely, nine turtles was Liam's count. "Nine!" He called.
Slowly but surely, ten yellow ducks was Brooke’s count. "Ten!" She called.
Counting up to ten was fun! Ms. Susan was proud of the Brite Star kids, they had counted all the critters!
Think About:
1. How many giraffes did Iris count?
2. How many bears did Joey count?
3. What animal did Lily count four of?
4. How many dogs did Emma count?
5. How many turtles did Liam count?
Let's Work Together: Let's practice counting together using pictures of our favorite animals.
I will: I will remember the numbers by counting my favorite animals. This makes learning fun and exciting.
The Importance of Knowing: Knowing how to count is the first step in understanding numbers. It helps us in daily activities and sets the foundation for math.
