AN INNOVATIVE CENTER FOR TRAVELLER capstone senior project | spring 2017
Project background: This project was inspired by my mother dragging me to the travel agencies in the International District when I told her that we could book everything online nowadays. But then I thought, the human interaction piece was lost during the online transaction and I understand how frustrating it is to talk to a machine on the phone, that’s when I thought it would be cool if I bring this concept into my capstone project. This project contains two-quarter of work. In the first quarter, we went on a field study in Los Angeles, writing our case studies and research. In the second quarter, where we turned our concepts/research into design. I called this project Travel Bug.
This project was nominated as a finalist for student design catergories for Gray Magazine Awards in November 2017. https://www.grayawards.com/finalists

sculpture A WOMAN PORTRAIT 3d art | spring 2015
BACKGROUND: Instead of building a snowman, I built this snowwoman on a snowy day back in 2012. Portrait sculpture fascinates me, usually wealthy and educated people have their portrait sculpture done. Unlilke the way it has been done in the past, I proposed a different approach to portrait sculpture. OBJECTIVE: For a three-dimensional project on the right, I sculpted an underprivileged person - a rice picker woman. I tried to translate her sorrow and hardworking life through her facial expression.
