Organized by Les Riverains de Châteauguay running club, the Au rythme de nos foulées run, which is traditionally held on Mother’s Day, is back for the 10th year!

You can participate in the 1 km, 5 km, 10 km race, or else the Michel Butts demimarathon (21.1 km), starting from the Agora. A challenge for the whole family in a lively and festive atmosphere!

New this year: the mille à Gilles. This new race is in addition to the regular run and includes an Elite section in which the first three runners will have an opportunity to win scholarships.

Garage sales May 25 and 26 The first garage sales of the year in Châteauguay will be held on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26. On those two days, garage sales will be permitted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

– Every citizen and every store located on LePailleur, Guy and Yvon streets and on boulevard D'Anjou will receive an official letter to be informed about the closing hours.

SPOKESPERSON Ariane Boulet Since her graduation from UQAM with a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance Interpretation in 2009, Ariane Boulet has worked as an interpreter for Hélène Langevin (Bouge de là), Mélanie Demers, Aurélie Pedron, Georges-Nicolas Tremblay, Joannie Douville and Geneviève C. Ferron. She has participated in many shows in Montreal, Toronto, France, Belgium and Brazil. At the same time, she founded the Je Suis Julio dance company in 2009 and developed two creations together with En Cohorte and four solo creations.

SEARCH FOR OLD PHOTOS 1998 ICE STORM To prepare a special edition of Châteauguay Au fil du temps and an exhibition to come at the Maison LePailleur, we are looking for photographs taken in Châteauguay that are good illustrations of the 1998 ice storm. These may include landscapes, material damage, citizens in action, slices of daily life at the temporary shelter set up in Louis-Philippe-Paré high school or any other photographs related to the event.

If you have any old photographs that have been digitized, please contact Communications at 450 698-3017 or at communications@ville.chateauguay.qc.ca. If you have photographs in paper format (the most common medium at the time), you can bring them to be scanned to the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier or the Maison LePailleur.

Photos must be placed in an envelope with your contact information (name, address, email and telephone number) so we can return to them to you. They may be accompanied by a brief description, if necessary.

Set on the site of the historic Maison Gravel and first launched during the Journées de la culture, the exhibition will continue until November. Maison LePailleur is pleased to welcome the Réseau Art Spontané (RAS) as part of a regional travelling exhibition. At an evening of artistic creation organized in partnership with the museum, RAS has allowed many artists to contemplate the objects from the Maison LePailleur collection and undertake a creative process.

The exhibition includes the body of work by the artists of the collective, including those resulting from this evening, as well as objects from the collection that served as a source of inspiration.

For the 7th consecutive year, Maison LePailleur is proud to host this photo contest and exhibition organized by secondary 4 students of Collège Héritage. LATE REGISTRATION Those who register as of May 19 will pay a late fee representing 25% of the initial registration costs.

New residents who arrive after the end of the registration period are exempt from this late fee. Ville de Châteauguay reserves the right to end the registration period on May 29 for certain activities. Late registrations must be done in person (on-site) at the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier.
