LOCAL NEWS & EVENTS FOR THE LITHGOW & UPPER BLUE MOUNTAINS REGION
15 December 2017
Paul Toole MP
Have you seen the Lithgow Lights Yet? As we mentioned breifly last week, an essential part of your Christmas Calendar in Lithgow has to be the annual Lithgow Lights display put on by the Rawsthorne family on Finlay Avenue in Lithgow. This year there are a staggering 42, 427 lights, 3,300 watts, all driven by a Raspberry Pi ($60 embedded computer board), a new radio transmitter still tuned to the same 99.7 FM
frequency. This is the 11th year the Rawsthornes have put on their epic display and in that time they have raised over $33,000 for charity. As you are driving around taking in the Christmas light displays around town, make suer to drop by and make a donation to a worthy cause.
