The Biggest Little Show in the West lives up to its name! The 93rd annual Rydal show held on Saturday was a resounding success. Numbers through the gate exceeded all expectations with around 2000 people attending. By Racheal Young The showground was bursting at the seams, with parking filled to capacity and the streets around the village full as well. Entries in the horticulture and fruit and veggie sections were up on last year as was the horse section.

The highest priced Lamb at auction owned by Josh, Cody, Alex and Dylan Grant sold to Sunny Ridge Meats for a whopping $300. The crowds enjoyed the large variety of stalls, the Lithgow City Band and the dancers from the Prudence Schwarz Academy of Dance. Out of the three lovely ladies who entered, Zoe Cox was announced as our 2015 showgirl with Megan Porter as our junior ambassador. The happy winner of the signed Melbourne Storm football jumper was Bianca Griffith from Portland. The show Society is absolutely thrilled at the success of this year’s show and would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors who helped with the running of the event and would also like to thank show goers for their patience with the parking situation, they really appreciated your support.
