Library Book Sale & Garden Club Plant Sale Saturday, May 7 | 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Calling all book lovers! Browse through fiction and non-fiction titles, children’s and teen books, and more at the Library’s annual book sale. Everyone is invited! During the Book Sale on Saturday, the Bensenville Garden Club will be having their annual plant and bakery sale from 9 am to 1 pm at the Bensenville Community Public Library. Please stop by for books, plants, and goodies! For early access to the Library Book Sale, come out on Friday, May 5 from 6 pm to 7 pm for our VIP sale. Admission is your Bensenville Library card! Here is the chance to meet the author herself, or rather, as portrayed by Jessica Michna. This amazing presentation brings to life the experiences behind the stories of being on a pioneer farm.

The Black Chicago Gravel Company steam locomotive #18 was donated to the Bensenville Park District in October of 1961. Conductor Karl will give tours and answer any questions. Visitors will also enjoy historical railroad memorabilia. Also, on the Second Sundays Historical Tour schedule are tours of the Korthauer Log House from 2-4 pm, where you can learn about the lifestyles of families living in Bensenville in the 1840s and 1850s.
