Vietnam Memorial comes to town
The new 2,527-square-foot spray park, partially funded by the Village of Bensenville, is a safe play area containing structures with flowing, misting and jetting mechanisms guaranteed to offer entertainment, physical activity and family fun. The park district is taking reservations for splash pad and water park parties and rental at 630-766-7015, ext. 2003. Weekday and Saturday group swim lessons and private lessons are offered at the Bensenville Water Park. Make sure to sign up early to secure the days and times that are convenient for you.

White Pines Golf Club & Banquets will be debuting their new pub style bar and restaurant this spring. Come experience the new food and spirits menu which will offer fresh and healthier food choices and a variety of wine and craft beer. This transformation include a 12-seat bar with adjacent high top tables. The current operation will be a destination that will serve lunch and dinner year-round. The Wall That Heals, the traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will be on display in Bensenville June 20-23 at Redmond Park. The Wall will be open to the public around the clock from Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23. Many volunteers are still needed to assist visitors to the Wall and to keep vigil around the clock, please call 630-7668888 to volunteer.
Food pantry open to families in need The Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Faith United Church of Christ, 192 S. Center Street. Families from the Bensenville/Wood Dale area may come once per month. All families are accepted with a proof of residency. For more information, contact Dave Sloan at 630-309-1001.
Church hosts dinner, triple ‘T’ auction First United Methodist Church in Bensenville is hosting a spaghetti dinner at 5:30 p.m. May 4 at the church, 328 South Church Road. A Triple T Auction of time, treasure or talent begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance or $9 at the door. Kids under 3 are free. There are also family discounts.
