What would your life look like if every choice was deliberate? Each year, Spring arrives with a gentle reminder that transformation isn’t always about big or bold impact.

Sometimes, the most powerful changes begin with subtle yet consistent shifts. This issue celebrates this philosophy, and invites you to consider the small steps you can take today to curate the life you want tomorrow.

From building a capsule wardrobe that works harder for you each day, to implementing self-care rituals that nurture your mental health, and creating a home that serves your family and the planet – the following pages are filled with practical approaches to living intentionally.

In curating your own life and embracing a conscious approach to living well, each intentional act will see you welcome this season of renewal with open arms. It’s your time to thrive.

THE MINDFUL wardrobe

In a world of trends, the most revolutionary act is defining

your style.

From investment blazers to heritage knits, the pieces that live beyond the trend cycle are the ones that give your wardrobe purpose. For Ronald Gregorian of RG Collections, building a wardrobe that transcends seasons to focus on essentials starts with sartorial choices that speak to your own aesthetic. “Your look can be very simple – a perfect white shirt with a good cut,” he says. As a former fashion designer, Ronald believes a capsule wardrobe can still be a form of self-expression. “When you dress for yourself, you feel better in your own skin – and people notice that.”

For a wardrobe with timeless style, a blazer is a must. Other essential pieces can include a pair of trusted jeans, a little black dress, or quality knitwear. “Think Merino wool with a touch of cashmere.”

While classic colours can see you through each season, Ronald believes it’s how you style your garments that make all the difference. “Accessorise well and invest in pieces like a camel trench that you can throw over jeans –you’ll look a million dollars.”

“Classics are important but adding a little edge can help you define your own style... Find these forever pieces that work with everything.”

Stay Active, Mind & Body

True wellness extends beyond what’s on our plate. A holistic approach involves embracing movement that energises, self-care practices that restore, and community connections that uplift.

From exercise that brings joy, to treatments including massage or acupuncture, catch-ups with friends and even the companionship of a beloved pet, each element works together to build emotional and physical resilience.

If you’re looking to introduce more movement into your days, Dr Suhas suggests low impact exercises such as yoga and pilates.

“These focus on muscular balance, improve core strength, flexibility, and posture,” he says. Where possible, aim for two and half hours of moderate intensity activity each week, or one and a half hours of high intensity activity if possible. “Regular physical activity like this will help with stronger bones and muscles, and better brain function,” he adds.

“It can also lower your risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.”

Dr Suhas believes exercise and connection to your personal community is essential to helping you live a healthier and longer life.

“Staying connected to people and moving each day can have a really positive effect on your wellbeing and longevity.”

Where Wellness Meets Relaxation

To reduce tension, relieve anxiety, and loosen tight muscles, massage can be the ultimate reset. “Gentle touch stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body reset from chronic stress,” says Anon Muangdej. “It’s all about connection and human touch.”

Massage & Acupuncture Level 1, Shop 65, 9449 2621

Fresh air and good company - the ultimate combination.

If the warmer weather is beckoning you back outdoors, it could be time to consider your foot health.

“General foot care goes a long way in terms of physical and mental health, and feeling like you have the confidence to move and get around,” says podiatrist, Will Davies.

From comprehensive general care to specialised treatments, Will and his team provide a holistic approach to foot health. “We look at heel pain, arthritis, neuropathy management for diabetes, falls risk and how footwear can play a part in keeping you well.”

To kick-start your foot health journey, consider investing in a pair of trainers (see our guide on page 13) that support your feet whether you’re exercising or simply engaging in every day movement.

Podiatry, St Ives Medical and Cosmetic Centre. Level 2, Shop 127, 9 440 5050

There’s much to be said for the power of connection and friendship in supporting our health.

“Mateship is vital for maintaining a healthy life that also feels meaningful,” explains Dr Suhas. “Staying connected to people and having long-lasting friendships can have a profoundly positive effect on our well-being and longevity.”

For those looking to make new connections, local men’s sheds, community centres, or walking groups offer the chance to meet new and likeminded people in a warm and inviting environment.

Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre 166 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives 9988 4966

and companionship of our fourlegged friends, pet ownership adds another valuable element to our lives.

Daily motivation to step outside, go for a walk, and embrace an active lifestyle. When you have a dog who needs daily walks, this gives you a real reason to head outside and exercise, which can boost your cardiovascular health and mobility,” says Tim Kett. “Best of all, going for walks and moving doesn’t just make you happy – it helps your dog feel happier too.”

For those who might not have a pet of their own, Tim happily hosts puppycurious visitors in-store. “It really boosts the mood amongst those who can’t have dogs at home,“ he says. “They love to visit and see the puppies or even my own dog – it just makes them feel happy and less alone, which is so important.”

From strategic development opportunities to lifestyle-driven buyer interest, here’s why your postcode is the talk of the North Shore.

A HOME FOR EVERYONE

The Ku-ring-gai market is buzzing with activity, with house prices hovering around the $3.4 million mark and units topping $1.1 million. This prestige pocket continues to attract families, professionals and smart investors.

ON THE RISE

Demand is soaring across North Shore hot spots including Gordon, Lindfield and Killara – and increasingly St Ives, where lifestyle, toptier schools and larger blocks are enticing residents more than ever before.

A SELLER’S MARKET

From charming originals to luxury rebuilds and development-ready blocks, the market is delivering strong outcomes for sellers.

In St Ives, homes with renovation potential or duplex appeal continue to receive plenty of attention.

DUAL OCCUPANCY DEBATES

Council has backed a new option of 1,015 m² minimum + 18 m frontage for minimum lot sizes outside of TOD zones. Pending State Government gazettal, this major shift could reshape development prospects across Ku-ring-gai.

Picture Perfect Places

There are two destinations dominating the travel wish list right now, according to Kerry Andrews of Luxeworld Travel.

“Japan is that one-stop destination that’s close to home and is becoming increasingly popular,” she says. With cherry blossom season transforming the country into a pink-hued paradise each March and April, Kerry recommends booking early to avoid disappointment.

Meanwhile, iconic rail journeys are experiencing increased interest closer to home. “Australia by train is an iconic trip,” she adds. “It’s a way to experience these destinations through an all-inclusive and all-comfort experience.”
