Then, caution around COVID caused us to cancel the picnic. So many of us were disappointed yet determined to be safe. We chose to be forward-looking to the summer of 2022. And now, here we are! The picnic planners have been developing activities such as field games, music and storytelling, and a show-and-tell booth for town businesses, organizations, and committees. We’ll socialize with friends and neighbors as we experience what’s special about Dummerston and why we take such pride in our community. Yes, there’s still only one Dummerston in the whole wide world! Got wheels? We’ll start the picnic at 3 p.m. with a bike-and-wheels parade. If you want, come at 2:30 to decorate your ride. I waved for them to stop, but they kept for your food, and whatever else you’ll need going, and I think hit every beam on the way through.
