Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation will receive unique value as the featured partner in this accredited college course, with a focusing on students in two demographics A18-34 and A25-44.

Increase opportunities for under-represented people in the innovation economy ???

Provide significant and unique visibility for VSEDC in the Los Angeles County region to demonstrate impact and scalability.

Launch an accredited course of study, Student Radio + Live TV Programming via Connected Campus providing an unprecedented access to companies in the entertainment, media, digital sector in Los Angeles

Implementation Implementation 6 weeks of instruction at VSEDC providing curriculum and training - 1 Session per week - 2 hours of instruction (1 hour- tech, 1 hour- industry, 30 min. VSEDC*) - 2 weeks of hands work at BestBuy Teen Tech Center and/or on location Participants: - 20 outstanding students from VSEDC/Best Buy database Outcome: - At least one 60 second PSA to be created from beginning to end by students from scripting and casting to final edits and approval * This will give students a great opportunity to see inside a major corporation and see the wide variety of opportunities – things that they never considered.

His students were already at risk. Then the pandemic came MARCH 13, 2021 11 PM PT

Kevin Clark is founder and executive director of the Dakar Foundation for the Performing Arts, which sponsors mentorships, workshops and career development for homeless and at-risk students.

Clark says funding has dried up and, worse, he’s lost touch with a number of students who were displaced by the pandemic. “The opportunities for us didn’t fade away,” Clark says of his foundation. “They just fell off the cliff.”

Mr. Terrence Coles has a wealth of expertise in Mobile and Video Advertising solutions. He is currently working as the Head of Redbox Media Network managing programmatic and direct brand advertising in addition to data monetization and location based advertising solutions for Redbox Automated Retail LLC. He has developed new revenue streams, implemented solutions for multiplatform providers and been responsible for monetization of mobile and video content including mobile media delivery systems for over 20 years.

He has worked at Domain Development Corporation focusing on contextual and native Mobile Advertising Solutions for Publishers.

Terrence has been a board member of the Dakar Foundation for over 10 years, and has been an instructor and Chief Mentorship Officer for our contract work with the Los Angeles County Community College District. |
