Children's Book Project: Mr. Robot & Mr. Tumbler

Preface

Reading children’s books is an effective way for both kids and adults to stimulate their imaginations and thinking. I hope that readers could cling to their dreams after enjoying this book.

1 / Rumor has it that children who lose their dreams will turn into robots. When Mr. Robot was little, he was a cute child and had a big dream. He loved to play games with his best friend, Mr. Tumbler. Yet, one day his dream was taken away by an evil balloon. “Come back--- my dream,” he shouted out loudly. From then on, he was no longer a child but a robot.

2 / After Mr. Robot grew up, he was afraid of dreaming big; hence, he picked up a boring job. He was so passive that he stopped connecting with all his friends, including Mr. Tumbler. Conversely, Mr. Tumbler braved to follow his heart and his dream. He clung to his dream even if he has faced barriers and difficulties all the time.

3 / He keeps learning and carries on his dream step by step. Although he is not an incredible genius, he faces and deals with all the challenges with patience and courage. For him, every day is so challenging but exciting.

4 / One day, Mr. Tumbler came across Mr. Robot and said, “Kevin...? You look like my old friend, Kevin. Why do you turn into a robot?” Mr. Robot tried to trick on him and said, “No... I’m not your friend. Who is Kevin?” Because Mr. Tumbler knew that he was right, he insisted, “Yes, you are. Please don’t try to lie to me.” Finally, Mr. Robot started weeping and yelling, “Okay...It’s me!!”

5 / Mr. Robot told the whole story to Mr. Tumbler. Mr. Tumbler responded, “Let’s find the bad balloon and rescue your dream.” They rushed to the habitat of the balloon and fought with the devil. Finally, they beat it with the sword, his dream returning to his body. They both shouted with joy, “Hurray!!!”

6 / Although he could not turn back to a human being, he is finally on the right track to pursue his dream. Once a female robot heard about his inspiring story, she was so touching that her stolen dream magically returned to her. She was so thankful to him and Mr. Tumbler.
