We took a brief moment to chat with Dr. Frances Ann Bailey Author, Coach and TEDx Speaker, on her journey as a professional speaker.. CHRISTIAN MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER: How did you become a professional speaker? DR. BAILEY: I started by wanting to be a voice and answer to another person's problems/challenges. I started by doing some podcast interviews and sharing my journey and process. Within a year, I went from United States virtual speaking engagements to international speaking engagements. Sometime later, I went from virtual to in-person sharing my testimony, wisdom and knowledge globally to help another.

CHRISTIAN MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER: What are some of the challenges you experienced as a professional speaker? DR. BAILEY: When I first began to speak, I had to overcome fear. Fear only comes to paralyze you. I knew that my voice would be the tool God used to help others get free, be encouraged, or educated. I had to overcome by saying yes, even when I wanted to run and say no, I had to do it scared. I started with small audiences and then eventually the fear left and grew to larger and larger audiences.
CHRISTIAN MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER: How did you get on the TedX stage? DR. BAILEY: I was found by an individual who was hosting a TEDx event. They heard my testimony and wisdom gained from previous interviews and speaking engagements. I l a n d e d m y f i r s t T E D x s t a g e in October 2021 with the event called " I Survived."
CHRISTIAN MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER: What advice can you offer upcoming Christian motivational speakers? DR. BAILEY: Be an authentic voice. Teach, speak, preach, whatever you do, however God gave it to you. You don't have to mimic anyone else. It is your authentically that will bring about a shift. If God gave it to you to say it will do what it is sent out to do, just be the vessel to release it. Furthermore, remember to have your motivation derived from the Word of God and His way of doing things. Release words of integrity and character.
