Styling advice for authors As businesswomen, choosing to showcase your expertise or product through the use of a written book can be one of the most beneficial things you could ever do to grow your business. This is the case since by writing a book: 1. You gain unbelievable credibility which increases the respect you will receive from customers and business associates.

In addition, people will now be more inclined to pay more to work with an established expert than someone who seems less established in a business.

2. You will be seen as the authority on a particular subject by others since you would have now proven that you know what you’re talking about.

3. This could bring you new business opportunities where you can bill for your time to educate, speak to and work with other companies and individuals helping them succeed through what you know.

LET'S TALK BOOK DESIGN Now let’s talk about the design of a written book. Although what goes on the pages of a published book is very important, what goes on the cover is of equal importance since many customers are drawn to a product based on its packaging, as well as the perceived personality of the person writing the book which impacts writer’s overall brand. As a result, the type of clothing and color used by the author should not be selected randomly but should be chosen strategically.

Here are some tips and outfit suggestions that will help you have great photo shoots for your book cover: 1. Include your brand colors in your outfit selection, however, do ensure that these colors accentuate your skin’s undertone and goes well with your background

2. Wear power pieces that communicate your brand’s message 3. Try on outfits ahead of time to make sure they fit your specific body shape and that you are comfortable and feel confident in them/it.

Other than focusing on adding your brand colors, another thing that will impact what you wear is your personal style which may fall in one or a combination of the categories overleaf.
