“What’s your impression of Pudong?”

“Financial Centre.”

“Crowded.”

“Stressful” Year after year, alongside the Huangpu river, people come and go. Look at Shanghai from Pudonng. Are you attracted by this image of skyscrapers ? To what extend is this the perfect utopia for young people ? What do you notice when entering Pudong as an observer ?

‘Haipai’ is the root of Shanghai’s culture which means ‘sea style’. People chasing new ideas, new things in the West in the past were called ‘Haipai’. It shares similar meanings and pronunciation of the Latin word ‘Hi-Fi’.

Over a five-day workshop, 23 BIPS second year students through observation, record and constantly selecting, shot, edited, designed Hi-Pi. ‘what else is there ?’ We always looking for answers. Through ‘Ready For New Tattoos’, ‘Fresh Flash’, ‘Corner of Legendary’, ‘Don't call us, We’ll call you’, ‘Low and High’, you will see Shanghai in a whole new light.

It's an indelible mark deeply rooted in the land. This place face the variations of plains to a buildings, watch the flows cross the past to the future. Centuries passed, Shanghai has been one of the worldwide leads. Mottled lock outside the door, roadside stores, people who stay, all of these is like a culture that flow through the city. we feel it through our own eye. Wings are made by those ordinary feathers. The city flows hot lively blood made up by headlights, streams and crowds. The vitality everywhere is now the most representative symbol of Shanghai.
