Mr. Murphy has had even more experi· ence than Mr. Mulvaney, and has lost but one debate, and that a very close one, throughout his forensic career. As an orator he is recognizecl: h e was the winner of the Oratorical Contest here last season, and possesses the voice and gestures of the finished debater.
