One Homeless Veteran Is One Too Many. Veterans Community Project was founded by a group of combat Veterans in Kansas City, MO who were frustrated by the rampant homelessness and barriers to support faced by their fellow Veterans. VCP’s solution: a transitional tiny home village with wrap-around services designed to address the underlying causes of each Veteran’s homelessness and a Veterans Outreach Center open to all Veterans in need of assistance, regardless of time served, discharge status or type of service.
“When I stepped into that house and had my own things after being homeless for 4 or 5 years ... it was almost too good to be true. I got my pride back, which was a big thing for me.” Chris VCP Village Alumnus
