Crafted from sustainably sourced European oak, the Plank Desk System brings a calm, tactile presence to hybrid workspaces and hospitality environments.
Designed in collaboration with forpeople, made in the UK.
The Plank Desk System is a celebration of natural materials, inspired by the familiar form of simple timber scaffolding planks.
The softly rounded legs, angled at 45 degrees have an unconventional flat surface on the inside creating an intriguing visual effect which makes the legs appear slim from certain angles yet sizable from others. Every part of the design, from form to finish, is intentionally quiet yet versatile in its appeal.

The Plank Desk System includes a range of optional accessories each one designed to work seamlessly and enhance user experience – the gently curved surface detail of the Personal Lamp and Power Box can be used as a place to keep small desk items within easy reach, whilst the overhead Desk Lamp creates a soft lighting option and the Shelf a display or storage area.
Designed with meticulous attention to detail, all add-on fixings have been carefully concealed under the tabletop whilst ensuring effortless layout changes of the accessories range.

Plank Desk System forpeople
The design collaboration between VG&P and forpeople is rooted in shared values of simplicity and material honestly.
The collaboration emerged organically through both companies serendipitous working within the same building.
Conversations turned into sketches and sketches into prototypes, developing a desk system designed to work for increasingly flexible and hybrid workspaces.
