Net ix has now been trying to make economically sound decisions given its current predicament. e streaming giant has lost over 200,000 subscribers and is incurring huge losses due to low stock prices and other factors.
As e Kilkenny Observer report recently, of all the projects it has stalled and/or cancelled, Pearl, an animated series produced by Meghan Markle and her production company, Archwell Production happens to be one of them. e actress is reportedly on the lookout for a new home for the series amidst this cancellation. e series will primarily revolve around the journey of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by the stories of various women in history.
According to the Suits actress: “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges.” e series, she says, was meant to celebrate “extraordinary women throughout history.
Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, had struck a massive million-dollar deal with Net ix previously in the hopes of developing several projects. At that time, they had just left the British Royal family and were hot news, several media giants, therefore, signed contracts with them, hoping to see some revenue-generating, sensational and explosive content.
While Net ix was pretty underwhelmed by the duo’s creative output, Spotify was pretty mi ed with them releasing just one podcast in a year.
Currently, the couple are trending after reports of the Royal Family excluding them from the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations started making rounds. While they’re heading for the United Kingdom to attend the ceremony, they will not be making a public appearance alongside the Queen since the latter only wants working members of the Royal Family to be there on the balcony with her.
Currently, the duo are trying to nd a new home for the series. According to a trusted source, “ ere was a huge feeling of excitement about Pearl and a hope that its journey is not over. Markle and Harry are not giving up on this project because Net ix said no.”

In back-to-back dramatic roles, Jim Carrey followed up his 1998 success of e Truman Show with Man on the Moon — a tempestuous Andy Kau man biopic — the following year, a lm that would signpost the personal troubles ahead for the actor as he struggled with the demands of the method acting performance. Whilst a success, the lm paled in comparison to the cult popularity of 2004’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Michel Gondry’s heartbreaking science- ction romance that spoke to a surreal reality of an ever more technologically intrigued world. In his most emotionally wrought performance to date, Carrey demonstrates the true range of his acting, with his historic comedic wit playing a large part in the viewer’s empathy as his character’s life withers along with his reality.
It’s easy to get lost in the legendary status of Robert De Niro. e iconic actor has so many inspiring accolades to his name across several imperative roles that his place in cinema’s pantheon is guaranteed. One lm, however, that doesn’t get the respect it deserves is Meet e Parents, the Jay Roach 2004 lm from 2000. 22 years later, it stands up as a wholesome family lm. Starring De Niro alongside Ben Stiller, the two actors deliver a pulverising comedic performance, with De Niro operating as the ultimate straight man. Packed to the brim with cringing moments of embarrassingly funny situations, this is a classic lm worthy of your time.

Set on a plane, the continuing series sees a red-eye hijacked by a soldier who, along with the rest of the passengers, ends up surviving a deadly global event down on the ground. Can they keep the plane going long enough to take them to safety? at premise alone should be enough to entice you to catch this excellent, tense thriller.
Hilary Swank is the big star at the heart of Away’s space drama. She plays Emma Green, a NASA astronaut and commander of an expedition to Mars. ings get o to a rocky start, and Emma’s international crew ll her with doubt over her ability to command. With time split between Earthbound drama and reliable entertainment above the stratosphere, Away, from 2020, is mostly successful in landing an all-rounded journey.
