WINTER

4 SOUTH

By addressing the issue of the rapid increase of urbanization, Adamantem Tower attempts to reconnect the residents of Manchester with nature through its unique characteristic of interior gardens spreading green elements throughout the 200 meters skyscraper. Inspired by the art of origami, this building is composed of triangular steel framed glass and aluminium panels, creating a unique diamond-like appearance with strong durability for the north-western climate, inviting visitors of all ages and backgrounds to experience the different facilities the building provides. The transparent glass panels not only offer pleasant city views of Manchester, but also expose the various activities that take place inside the building. The interior of the building is decorated with timber floors, making the spaces warmer and more welcoming, while the diamond shaped frames of the glass panels form a dynamic pattern with the shadows resulting in an aesthetically entertaining visual effect.

In order to place glass panels on the tower, I performed solar studies -using Revit- during winter and summertime in order to develop the most energy efficient result.

throughout the year which is also very critical in order to shape the layout of the building as well as understand where the green spaces should be placed in order to have direct sunlight all year round and create natural shading for the surrounding spaces.

The following study determines which panels are affected the most by intense sun-rays

EXHIBITION PLAN

One of the most unique aspects of this 40-story skyscraper is the various voids that accommodate interior balconies which overlook beautiful green spaces. On the east side of the building, there is a public shopping centre (image 1) which has a clear distinction from the rest of the skyscraper. Users can enter the rest of the facilities by the main entrance that is located in the west side. Moving up through the lobby, users find themselves on the 1st floor, where the space is dedicated to the display

of art (image 2) and the addition of stairs on the garden atrium on the 4th level offer a clear circulation up to the 6th floor. Furthermore, the building contains a restaurant with infinitive views throughout the city. The main function of the building is the office spaces it accommodates with the garden voids creating relations among the different floors. The last two floors operate as a viewing platform with the dramatic shapes of the panels offering a unique way of experiencing the viewing of Manchester.

2. 3D BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING

Section Without Point Cloud

By using Laser Scanning / Point Cloud Technology, I performed an architectural survey of a block of hotel suites in the Island of Kos, Greece, using Revit. The building is a total of ~6000sqm and Laser Scanning technology enabled the comprehensive capture of the building’s geometry, generating a detailed point cloud that served as the foundation for the architectural survey. The point cloud provided a precise representation of the complex’s interior and exterior features, including intricate architectural details and spatial relationships.

Historic Mansion survey in Hydra Island, Greece, using Laser Scanning / Point Cloud technology. As stated in the images above, the 3D Point Cloud model aligns seamlessly with my Revit 3D Model, ensuring a high degree of accuracy. Due to this precision I was able to create a complete set of architectural drawings with minimal error and capture features that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to measure using traditional methods. In addition, with the use of Revit and Point Cloud technology, this project was completed in less than a week.

RENOVATIONS // INTERIOR DESIGN

3. ARCHITECTURAL STUDIES

SUMMER HOUSE, ANGISTRI ISLAND Situated near Athens, Angistri Island is a popular tourist destination known for its tranquil beauty and rich cultural heritage. Recognizing the island’s charm, a client embarked on a project to transform a two-story house into a welcoming Airbnb retreat. In this renovation I focused on reconfiguring the interior spaces to maximize functionality and foster a sense of openness. I chose earthy hues to harmonise with the island’s natural palette, creating a serene ambiance. Built-in couches integrated into the home’s architecture provide cosy nooks for relaxation, enhancing the sense of intimacy and cultural immersion.

9

The apartment’s interior is bathed in natural light, accentuated by the expansive windows that frame breathtaking panoramic views of the Marina Zeas. By using plush furnishings and soft textures I created a serene atmosphere, while ample storage ensures a clutter-free and organized space.

LUXURIOUS APARTMENT, KASTELLA

Nestled in the heart of Kastella, one of Piraeus’ most enchanting neighbourhoods, I recently renovated this two-bedroom apartment using Revit in order to draw precise plans and continuously, using SketchUp and Lumion I was able to create realistic renders to communicate the design with the client. The concept of this renovation was minimalistic luxury with touches of pastel hues, marble, and gold details. The apartment’s design seamlessly blends modern elegance with a touch of Mediterranean charm, offering its residents a haven of refined style and tranquillity.

10

Located in the beautiful suburb of Penteli, I had the opportunity to transform this 1970’s villa through a comprehensive renovation that seamlessly blends modern elegance with the preservation of its historical charm. I performed solar studies using Revit for the placement of new openings as well as the placement of pergolas in the exterior space. By incorporating expansive windows, the interior is now flooded with natural light, creating an ambiance of openness and calmness. Panoramic views can be effortlessly admired from any corner of the villa, immersing residents in the beauty of their surroundings. In a harmonious balance of old and new, the original stone walls have been thoughtfully preserved, allowing the villa to retain its captivating heritage.

MODERN VILLA, PENTELI

11

LUXURY VILLA, PSYCHIKO

In the Athenian suburb of Psychiko, a luxurious villa has undergone a transformative renovation, meticulously orchestrated to reflect the client’s refined taste and discerning style. Drawing inspiration from the client’s vision, I completed a renovation that seamlessly integrates the existing wooden floors and architectural details with a palette of soft hues and clean lines, creating a harmonious balance between the villa and its new elements. I placed the furniture carefully in the space, avoiding obstructing the breathtaking views, ensuring that the villa’s natural surroundings remain the focal point. Given the client’s penchant for hosting intimate receptions and dinner parties, meticulous attention has been paid to the lighting design. Layered lighting schemes create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while stra-

Infusing the client’s vision, I designed a cosy boho-chic living room, where eclectic décor and plush furnishings exude an inviting ambiance.

OFFICE BUILDING PARAPOLITIKA, SYNGROU

12

The building’s façade, facing south, is adorned with a translucent mesh, a clever solution that shields the interior from the intense Greek sun while preserving natural light. I also placed three large screens, strategically positioned on each side of the façade, in order to display the newspaper’s content, transforming the building into a beacon of information and a visual landmark.

Home to one of Greece’s premier newspaper offices, this building has undergone a remarkable transformation, emerging as an inspiring sanctuary of modern design, natural elements, and harmonious functionality. With the aim of creating an inspiring work environment, I focused on designing eye-catching office floors adorned with sleek lines and geometric patterns. Spacious resting areas provide tranquil retreats, decorated with green walls and planters integrated into the furniture, offer a welcome respite from the urban buzz. My vision – to create a modern, spacious, and naturally illuminated environment – has been meticulously realised, transforming the office into a welcoming space for creativity and productivity.

13

NEOCLASSICAL OFFICE BUILDING PONIROS & PARTNERS, KALLITHEA

This ambitious renovation project presented me with a unique challenge: to seamlessly integrate the building’s neoclassical exterior design with its interior, while infusing a touch of modernism and creating an impressive lighting scheme. I achieved that by maintaining a neutral colour palette on the walls, echoing the building’s exterior and preserving its neoclassical essence but also strategically injecting pops of vibrant colours into specific areas, adding sprightliness and personality to the workspace. One of the most striking elements of the renovation is the awe-inspiring lighting atrium I designed with the help of a well renowned light specialist, that graces the central workspace. This ingenious design feature creates the illusion of a boundless space, as if the floor above has vanished but also illuminating generously the space, minimizing shadows and creating a sense of openness and clarity.

Expansive terraces extend from the villa, offering ample space for outdoor lounging and alfresco dining. Residents can gather here to unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. To help the client visualize the house’s design in greater detail, the final renders were produced using Lumion.

SUBURBAN VILLA, MARKOPOULOS

NEW CONSTRUCTIONS

14 This villa in Markopoulos, a charming remote suburb in Attica, is surrounded by natural beauty, offering a sense of calmness and harmony to its users all well as fostering a deep sense of connection with nature. Drawing inspiration from the region’s rich architectural heritage, I designed a villa that embodies a harmonious interplay of modern and traditional elements. Clean lines and rectangular forms define the villa’s exterior, creating a sense of spaciousness and elegance, while traditional pitched roofs and rustic stone walls add a touch of local character and reinforce the villa’s connection to the natural world. Large windows grace every corner of the villa, inviting an abundance of natural light to illuminate the interiors and blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. In recognition of the region’s abundant rainfall, extreme attention was paid to the villa’s landscaping. I strategically placed stone walls to act as natural barriers, effectively protecting the property from extreme weather conditions while maintaining the villa’s aesthetic integrity. This captivating villa embodies the essence of modern living amidst nature’s embrace. Its design seamlessly blends contemporary elements with traditional influences, creating a sanctuary of peacefulness and elegance.

15

Main Entrance Building Conceptual Design One of my biggest projects was the creation of this 100 suite 5 Star Hotel, Inspira, located in Kos Island, Greece. The client’s vision was to create an all inclusive hotel with rooms that have direct access to an enormous pool and a beautiful landscape. For the design of the hotel I was inspired by the principles of minimalistic curved architecture that seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with the island’s natural beauty. Two-story villas, each featuring expansive windows, gracefully curve around the hotel’s centrepiece – an enormous swimming pool that stretches across the landscape. Long bridges, extending over the pool’s different levels, connect the villas, creating a sense of interconnectedness and allowing guests to effortlessly access the refreshing waters from their private terraces. The hotel’s entrance, situated on the eastern side of the plot, sets the stage for a remarkable journey into a world of luxury and relaxation. Master Plan

1st Floor Plan House 1 & 2

Ground Floor Plan House 3 Embedded amidst the gentle folds of the earth, a semi-underground house (3) emerges as a testament to the harmonious interplay between architecture and nature. I made this design choice because of the plot’s significant incline, seamlessly integrates the dwelling into the surrounding landscape, minimizing its visual impact while maximizing its connection to the natural world. Initially, I employed masses in Revit to establish the layout of the spaces within the plot. Subsequently, I focused on the interior and exterior spaces, meticulously situating windows and doorways to enhance the overall design. Finally, I used Lumion to evaluate and finalize the material palette for the villas.

LUXURIOUS VILLAS, ANDROS ISLAND

Ground Floor Plan House 1 & 2

This project is located in the island of Andros, where its purpose was the creation of three luxurious villas, each a testament to the harmonious blend of traditional Cycladic architecture and modern elegance. Designed as Airbnb accommodations, they offer spacious rooms and infinity views to the Aegean Sea as well as expansive terraces that serve as an extension of the living spaces, allowing the nature to come into the lives of its users. I wanted my design to have clean lines, whitewashed and stone walls, and expansive windows in order to define the exterior, creating a sense of spaciousness and openness that echoes the island’s unspoiled landscapes.

17

LUXURIOUS VILLAS, PORTO RAFTI

Porto Rafti, a sea side resort in East Attica, is one of the most well known destinations for tourists that want to explore the local culture during summertime. I designed these 3 Airbnb luxurious villas in order to house families or couples, offering an exclusive experience to the luxurious side of modern Greek architecture. Each house accommodates its own private pool and is characterised by large windows and high ceilings. The interior is decorated with minimalistic architecture and soft colours for a relaxing atmosphere.

18 Kotsovolos, one of the leading electronic companies in Greece, offered a design competition for its exhibition stand for year 2023. The purpose of the exhibition stand was showcasing its comprehensive range of products and services tailored to the hotel industry. My team and I crafted the stand’s layout to showcase each product category in its most captivating form, guiding visitors through a journey of discovery. Our concept was to display the products of our client in the best way possible, with vibrant eye-catching colours and triangle geometric shapes. The stand includes a reception, a bar, an office and a bedroom. Each space was carefully designed in order to be able to show off each product but also harmoniously blend in with the rest of the spaces. The Kotsovolos exhibition stand proved to be a resounding success, attracting a record number of visitors and generating significant interest among hoteliers.

Competition: 1st Place My design for D-Marin, a leading global marina network, was inspired by the luxurious ambiance of being inside a yacht. The design concept incorporates a floating wavy pattern and small spotlights resembling stars, creating a sense of refinement and grandeur. The glass with the water texture further enhances the immersive experience, matching the company’s commitment to providing premium service to its clientele.

In one of the biggest projects that took place in Greece the last decade, the Ellinikon experience park, me and my team had the privilege to take place and win one international design competition, tasked with conceiving a captivating theme park experience throughout the seasons. With Winter Season being the most significant one, we concentrated to bringing to life the holiday spirit and create a festive journey all around the park. Entering the park you’ll come across an enchanting gate adorned with illuminated Christmas ornaments and a mesmerizing parametric tunnel, leading you into

a magical Christmas experience. Throughout the park you’ll find yourself surrounded by Santa’s village, carousels, a gem tower, a walk though the foggy garden, an enormous ice skating ring and of course a beautiful Christmas tree. The concept for the rest of the seasons is to foster connection and community by providing opportunities for shared experiences amidst the park’s natural splendour. Inviting picnic tables and spacious tents encourage visitors to linger and engage with the surrounding environment, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for the beauty of nature.
