A Bittersweet Farewell LIZZY CLYDE Twenty-six years ago Mrs. Peggy Devitt began her career at Harrisburg High School, and as she approaches her retirement, we applaud her years of hard work and dedication to our district. Peggy began as a braillist, working with one visually impaired student for thirteen years from kindergarten until the student’s graduation in 2000. During the years she worked with this student, she found it most rewarding seeing the girl grow, learn, and develop. Then Peggy worked for two years with an endodontist, a dentist who works on root canals, before she returned to Harrisburg High School. Peggy finds it hard to believe that there were only fortyfive students in the See ‘Farewell’ on Page 7
