Submitted Dear Editor The first week of June is when Seniors Week is celebrated. The staff of Mannville FCSS did an awesome week of entertaining us with an excellent Elvis Presley Impersonator, and all themes of the week centered around Elvis. The lovely selection of food at different events were thoroughly enjoyed. They were served to us by Mannville Grade 3 and the leadership students. Submitted Dear Editor As a senior citizen living in Valleyview Manor which is run by Vermilion & District Housing Foundation I am concerned by the lack of funding for seniors residences in Vermilion. Apparently there is no funding available to upgrade anything in these 30 year old plus buildings regarding energy efficiency/current standards/ infrastructure. I made a request to have an air quality assessment done in my unit and building wide due to the accumulation of dust throughout. This was duly done one Saturday morning in approx 3-4 hours. My request to see a copy of the report was denied, NO REASON GIVEN OTHER THAN THE REPORT SAID “VERY GOOD AIR QUALITY” WHY THE SECRECY? Sincerely David L Larmour
